YugoRocketsFan
Yugo can keep posting pictures of bears all year long. It won't stop the inevitable from happening: ^ What he said. You can post pictures of ugly ass black girls, date girls who look like Ronaldinho and make pointless threads but it won't mean that Bynum will be better than Howard. D12 is as overrated as they come. You can't build a championship team around that offensively inept fool.

EastCoastNiner
His 26.4 scoring efficiency for the season (4th in the NBA) is repulsive. John Hollinger, please go. That guy is the biggest turd there is. Tell me wheat types of shots Dwight Howard can create on his own? He doesn't scare any team on the offensive end. Great, he can put back shots, but teams are not afraid of him offensively, nor should they be because he sucks on offense. Seriously, don't list any type of John Hollinger stat again. That guy is a fraud. If you're going to use PER as your main argument, then you would have to believe that Kenneth Faried, Marcin Gortat, and Brandan Wright are all borderline all-stars because that's what John Hollinger's ratings say! . Hayes1
Howard is an IMPACT player but his too often sunny disposition isn't the necessary mindset for winning. O'Neal was jovial for sure though he would no sooner abuse his defender [and help] in the paint. All the great centers have that killer mentality... Howard is questionable despite his athletic prowess. Gutting the core for him wouldn't make sense. Plus if you're on a average team and you're the number 1 option, and touch the rock damn near every play, you'll be scoring 26 points too.

The Regime
I'm still not on board with trading both Drew and Pau. Our main problem lies at the pg position, and signing Dwight won't solve that. Personally I would much rather hold onto both Pau and Drew. Don't know what to make of the Sheed signing right now. ?QuestionMark?
Only way this signing makes sense is if the Lakers make a deal where they're left in need of a big man. Could mean Pau, Drew, or even McRoberts gets dealt. For minimum, it's not a bad signing. Definately better than any other FA big, though he doesn't really fill a need. Would rather have Arenas, though. Lakers need a shooter and Gilbert is a gunner....literally.
Art
I personally do not think signing Rasheed Wallace has anything to do with a potential trade; considering Sheed has not played one NBA game this season in my honest opinion he is just an option to bulk up the Lakers front court. Nitro
He's the number one option on a average team of course he is going to perform/score more then Bynum. Damn sure not better then him on offense though. Average team? Dwight's average team has a better record than the Lakers so far. And Dwight has been the #1 option on a Finals team before. There is no way Bynum is better than Dwight yet. Yes, Bynum has more post moves and a softer touch around the rim, but Dwight is no "inept" offensively anymore. He's got a nice running hook with both hands, awesome spin move, has developed a nice 12-15ft bank shot from the wing, and of course he's the best finisher around the rim in the league. He's better on the PnR than Bynum, setting far more effective picks and is more athletic on the roll. What also shouldn't be ignored is the amount of fouls Dwight draws (gets to the line 12x a night compared to only 5 for Bynum), which puts the defense into the penalty very quickly. Dwight is a MUCH better and more willing passer than Bynum, which makes the offense run a lot smoother through Dwight than it does Bynum. Howard for 4 of the last 5 seasons has been the top rebounder in the game. Defensively, Howard is much better defending the PnR, a better rim protector, communicates and directs his teammates better than Bynum, has quicker hands and grabs over one steal more per game than Bynum does, and is more versatile in terms of who he can defend and switch off onto. Besides all that, Dwight is arguably the most durable big man in the league, always playing 78-82 games in a season and playing nearly 40MPG. Bynum has played over 54 games only once in the least 5 seasons, and this year is only the 2nd time in his career that he's played over 30MPG. Until Bynum can prove he can be relied on to play big minutes with a major role for 70+ games a season, he'll never have the chance to be in the same convo as Dwight.
