LMFAO. All of you Heat fans know that if Kobe and Wade switched spots in this situation you guys would be bugging the [expletive] out. If you say that you wouldn't be bugging you are full of shit. Simple as that.

I've noticed in this thread that all the Wade supporters seem to be ignoring the fact that Wade even said himself that he purposely hard fouled him. In my opinion, the guy is a little brat who can't stand the fact that he's not even in Kobe's league.

Yea, but it wouldn't be taken to this extreme because it would only be me and Flash defending Wade. I personally don't see the big deal, I don't care if Kobe gave Wade a bloody nose. As long as he doesn't dislocate his shoulder or something then its fair game. Its only logical that I take Wade's side, I am a Heat fan. If it was the other way around then it would be all the Lakers fans defending Kobe from Heat fans and the other people throwing in their opinion.

You can argue Wade's been better the last 4 years, but whatever...

Intentional or not.... it was unnecessary.

Not even because it was an accident that he broke his nose. If Wade's nose was broken by accident wtf are we gonna do? We see fouls like this on a nightly basis in the NBA obviously this one accidentally resulted in the injury to Kobe but the wrap up foul is a nightly thing. The people on here probably care more than Kobe does which is [expletive]ing sad.

And lulz ECN's Wade hate.

Once again, bullshit. It was an UNNECESSARY foul. Accident? Sure. I'm sure he didn't go in thinking I'm gonna break Kobe's nose. I agree with you there. For the record, I'm a Wade fan. If Kobe fouled Wade like that, I would be saying the same [expletive]ing thing.

It's not only Kobe fans arguing with you. Its pretty much anyone whose not a Heat fan and can see that Wade made a stupid play in the Allstar game. I can understand that you're just defending one of your teams best players, that's fine. I'd most likely be doing the same if it was a Raptors player. When I watched it live, and after watching the replay, i just can't see how you can't feel that Wade was just mad about Kobe showing him up, and he though he'd get him back by not letting him blow by again.

Haha...Heat fans vs. everyone else that knows that the foul was intentional (including Wade himself).

Going back, I don't see anyone saying that Wade meant to break Kobe's nose. I read three pages of people saying that Wade's foul on Kobe was intentional and a hard foul, which is ridiculous.

And the comment about it being "just a bloody nose" or what-not...lol. It's a broken nose, and a concussion. More specifically, it's a nasal fracture and a concussion.

Blake Griffin had a nosebleed the other night. He didn't break his nose, and he wasn't diagnosed with something (a concussion) that is sometimes career-threatening.

Sounds like a couple of you have no idea what it's like to have a broken nose. Take some duct tape, stick it to your nose, and wrap it around your head 4-5 times, really tight. Make sure you can barely breathe out of it, and that it pushes your nose completely through your face. That's what it feels like for a minor broken nose (like I had). When you jump up and down, it feels like your nose weighs about 50 pounds.

Obviously not a big deal, though.

Pretty sure I saw a few other non-Laker fans in this thread agreeing with us ridiculous Heat fans. But hey, lets just disregard the facts and hate Wade for an accident.

Be honest, if Wade hadn't accidentally gotten Kobe across the head this would just be any other hard foul and no one would've cared.

True, the foul was totally IGNORANT! The first such foul and probably the only one. <_<

So true, when Iggy and LBJ, for example, were on their way to the rim no one played any D. It's NOT the NBA Finals, it's the All-Star game, damned!

I used to effin' like Wade. Damn, I can't believe I was rooting for this punk last year against Dallas. <_< I'm so happy he didn't win the 'ship now. And I don't care if Wade's one of the best. He managed to turn me against him to the point he's my Most Hated Player ever. I hate him more than I hate Paul Pierce, KG and Ginobili, combined (and I really hate those three). <_< Also:

 @ how people put things. Title should be: WADE BREAKS BRYANT'S NOSE <_<

Don't you have to be at least 13 to register on OTR?

More than likely, yep...but instead, it resulted in a broken nose and a concussion. That doesn't happen when you try and grab someone. I've been hit several times in the nose playing basketball, and it takes a lot of force to get it done (had my nose broken once).

It's all water under the bridge now, though. No need to discuss it any further, right?

Oh btw, Kobe's "possible career threatening" concussion is a complete lie. Thought it'd be worth noting.

The mild concussion was reported by Woj and a few others. Did Wade let you know otherwise, or...?

Ah, and I did say it was a mild concussion. I never said it was career-threatening. I said that concussions can sometimes be career-threatening. Yikes...

The Lakers confirmed that Kobe showed no signs of a concussion. And no, Wade didn't need to tell me...Sportscenter did about 2 minutes ago.

They already confirmed that he did show signs of a concussion in the locker room, right after the All-Star Game, so they kept him out of the post-game interviews. Kobe wants to play tomorrow, against the Wolves, and the Lakers obviously want him to as well...no reason to keep him out of the game. I figured that was a given, but I guess not.

Given that it's an all-star game, you would think that players would be a little less serious about the game. That's the context. So when Wade intentionally fouls Kobe hard, that shows what Wade is thinking. He's thinking that he's going to hurt kobe. This is all premeditated. And altogether, that is dirty to have in an ASG where camaraderie is emphasized. That's as simple as I could put it.

I heard last night he was held out of interviews due to a headache, which is why they did the CT scan. It wouldn't surprise me if someone jumped the gun on the concussion thing (I couldn't believe that hit would cause a concussion when I heard that), but it also wouldn't surprise me if the Lakers and Kobe were covering it up so he could play tomorrow.

So I guess the Lakers writer who was just on Sportscenter was lying? Right.

Weird...how does the Lakers writer know what Kobe is feeling? Is this one of those "we're twins, so we feel each others' pain" things, or...?

I'm just curious, because from what I know about us humans, the guy that has the concussion symptoms is really the only guy that knows what he's feeling...and if he says he has no headache, no blurry vision, and/or no pain in his neck or ears (whatever other symptoms there are), that's pretty much what your specialty writer will be reporting.

Here's what happened, more than likely: Kobe learned overnight that you had to pass a concussion test to be able to play, and so there was a delay seeing his doctor (which you'll read about if you search for it). The delay was for him to "hope" that he will show less signs of a concussion, and once he did see his doctor, the only signs that would be evident were those that Kobe would verbally have to speak of. If the doctor says he doesn't need the concussion test, Kobe gets to play against the Wolves, and he doesn't miss games.

It's really that easy to figure out. Sunday night, his eyes were [expletive]ed up, he complained of a major headache, and he was dizzy. He was supposed to see the doctor early Monday morning, but it was delayed.

@Lakers

Kobe will be re-evaluated Monday when he returns to Los Angeles by ear, nose and throat specialist Dr. John Rehm.

@Mike_Bresnahan

Update: Kobe will not be seeing an ear, nose and throat specialist until tomorrow. Status for Weds game vs. Minnesota unknown.

It was reported that he was going to wait until Tuesday afternoon...but for what? He was already back in LA, no practice.

It's obvious.

Updated a few minutes ago:

EL SEGUNDO—Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, who suffered a nasal fracture in Sunday’s NBA All Star Game in Orlando, Florida, was examined today in Los Angeles by ear, nose and throat specialist Dr. John Rehm, who confirmed the fracture and also referred Bryant to neurologist Dr. Vern Williams for further examination. Dr. Williams’ diagnosis after evaluating Bryant was that in addition to the nasal fracture, Bryant also suffered a concussion in Sunday’s game.

Bryant will be re-evaluated tomorrow by Dr. Williams, and his status for tomorrow night’s game has been listed as day-to-day.
