Built Ford Tough
-- I do believe there is something to all the talk of Portland sending Jamal Crawford to Minnesota for Luke Ridnour. There's no getting around the fact that Nate McMillan seems to prefer using Wesley Matthews as the backup shooting guard over Crawford. If that's the case, with Nic Batum now firmly ensconced in his rightful position as the starting shooting guard, Crawford isn't going to get the minutes he deserves. If that's the case, move him and move him as soon as possible. I'm not sure what they were thinking of by bringing him here in the first place. -- I also been told by league sources that the Ridnour trade is a backup plan for the Blazers, who are still hard after another point guard. That could be Nash, Rajon Rondo or Jose Calderon. http://www.csnnw.com/pages/landingdwight?Trade-rumors-swirling-around-Crawford-Fe=1&blockID=664256&feedID=8351 Shouldn't really be a suprise with how awful Felton has been for them this season and Crawford is not a point guard. Do you think they make a deal before the deadline or do they just ride the season out with Felton and re-asses the matter in the summer? Owner Real Deal Posted March 9, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted March 9, 2012 Portland isn't a bad team...so I'm not really sure they should just stick with what they have. Crawford belongs at the two. He can't defend PG's, can't make plays for anyone...and yes, Felton is horrible this season, and I'm not sure why Lakers fans want him (unless they think he needs relocated, but he's out of shape anyway). It's hard to say they can do better than Ridnour if they aren't willing to give up much. I wonder if there's a three-way trade brewing between Minny, Portland and the Lakers. Maybe Portland would want Blake back. We want Beasley and/or Felton.
ChosenOne
I don't understand how an NBA player still is out of shape even after over had the season being done with. I don't know who to blame more the player or the coaching staff for not beating his ass into shape. But getting to the topic I think moving Crawford would be a bad move as a player like him is a gem to have in the playoffs. I would stick with the team they have built unless a great offer is put on the table that they basically can't refuse.
Cleveland's Finest
Does Aaron Brooks come back by the deadline? If not, maybe Phoenix will release him when he does come back, and Portland could sign him. It'd be nice to see him back in Oregon.
