Dash
The Trail Blazers and Clippers are discussing a deal that would send Jamal Crawford to the Clippers for Eric Bledsoe and Ryan Gomes, league sources told CBSSports.com. The talks have not advanced to the ownership level, but the two teams have exchanged proposals and were mulling over this idea on Monday. It's not clear whether the deal would be a precursor to a second trade for Portland involving disgruntled point guard Raymond Felton. Rival executives believe the Blazers are interested in exploring a swap of Felton to the Lakers for Steve Blake, with L.A. sending another piece to make the salaries match and compensate the Blazers for getting the better player and future cost savings in the deal. The Portland coaching staff and front office are comfortable with Blake, who could provide a calming presence as the team battles through numerous distractions. Coach Nate McMillan appears to be safe for the time being, according to people in contact with Blazers officials. http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/ken-berger/17751826/trade-deadline-update
Owner Real Deal Posted March 12, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted March 12, 2012 Maybe a good thing if this was the Felton from a few years ago, but good God, he is playing bad right now. I'm not sure if it's him hating Portland, or him not taking care of himself and being out of shape, but it's definitely not the same player he was a little after he was drafted. Flash
The names I keep hearing are Felton and Brandon Jennings. Neither of which is a good fit..at all. Jennings wouldn't make it past the 1st quarter without Kobe strangling him.
Check my Stats
I get Felton is playing really bad, but Portland would be utterly stupid to do this deal. As bad as he has been this year, he is still playing (statistically speaking) basically as good as Steve blake EVER has, which is pretty sad. Some of the shit people come up with, honestly... DunkinDerozan
Lakers take it and run. Even though Felton sucks this year, Steve Blake has sucked every year, so atleast they are getting a potentially decent player. a change of scenery might be all Felton needs to find his game again.
