NomarFachix
Melo wins. Better start building a team around him ASAP! Woodson interim?
TheNotoriousBANG
LMAO wow have fun playing isolation ball with Melo, He's games never changed, and he's mentality never changed eitherHe's not willing to change and adapt to win Knicks are such a mess of an organization And get phil jackson out of your minds, he only goes to teams with A level superstars like Kobe and Jordan. You think he'd wanna go from coaching Kobe to coach Melo and Lin LMAOOOthat's like leaving Beyonce for Monique Edited March 14, 2012 by TheNotoriousBANG
The Next Knick
I'm in shock. Was it that stressful? Or did Melo push him out?
Dash
He needed to go, horrible coach and a bad fit with their two best players. Great news for Carmelo, Mike Woodson primarily runs an iso offense.
TheNotoriousBANG
11-20 with melo7-4 Without melo Yeah, it's the coaches fault

NomarFachix
LMAO damn i didn't see this coming, i would have thought firing but not resigning.I'm sure he essentially was fired through Dolan, this saves some face for him though. Maybe he'll get another job.
Need4Sheed
He is better of without this crap. That team was built for failure. He would do much better elsewhere IMO.
DunkinDerozan
Wow. Interesting to see how Melo will be now the offense will pretty much be all his again.
SRV
Its clearly Melo's fault. He ran the team down...they played so well when Melo was injured, and since he came back, they suck.
ChosenOne
I'm sure he essentially was fired through Dolan, this saves some face for him though. Maybe he'll get another job. Yeah im sure, he was probably given the choices of resigning or getting fired and he obviously chose getting fired.
NomarFachix
Great read from Ken Berger on the situation: http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/ken-berger/17792395/carmelo-anthony-and-the-knicks-both-got-what-they-wanted
NomarFachix
Marc J. Spears @SpearsNBAYahooSource close to situation says Knicks intrigued about a Dwight Howard deal, but says no way it includes Melo since James Dolan "loves him." lol what a horrendous owner
Owner Real Deal Posted March 14, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted March 14, 2012 So much for Linsanity. You can call that experiment off without D'Antoni running the offense through the PG.
TheNotoriousBANG
They should have never given Melo 65 million Melo is good BUT That's Kobe/LeBron/Durant and Rose money I hate how a player can earn 65 million and still not be a top 3 player in his position Edited March 14, 2012 by TheNotoriousBANG
Owner Real Deal Posted March 14, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted March 14, 2012 I hate how a player can earn 65 million and still not be a top 3 player in his positionI don't like Melo, at all...but he's the third-best player at his position. LeBron and Durant are the only two you can provide arguments for (and by arguments, I really mean definitive #1 and #2). Pierce is nowhere near the player he used to be, and Deng/Iguodala can't carry teams on their backs.

Flash
D'Antoni can do better elsewhere. This is the most poorly constructed roster in the league. No one is gonna come in and fix this thing as soon as the people want. Edited March 14, 2012 by Flash
JYD
D'Antoni can do better elsewhere. This is the most poorly constructed roster in the league. No one is gonna come in and fix this thing as soon as the people want. The team outside of Carmelo, and arguably Stoudemire is fine. When they won 8 out of 10 or whatever it was it wasn't Mike D's or the roster's fault then, was it? SMH. I still like D'Antoni as a coach and he seems like a good guy. I loved his press conferences, always funny and he had some god damn personality which is hard to find in coaches these days. IMO it pretty much had to be done. It was Melo or MDA...And, we all know Melo and his 83 million they owe him is what is going to stay.
Flash
No, this roster is not fine lol. They have a bunch of players who play 0 defense outside of Chandler and who need the ball in their hands to be effective. Horribly constructed roster however you look at it. fish7718
Dolan press conference, lol.. hasnt spoken since mike was hired. fish7718
Almost felt bad for D'antoni, then I thought, good for him, who wants to be associated with this freak show any longer?
NomarFachix
I don't think he even knew he owned the Rangers till this season lolOh man, he's had them ruined for almost as long as the Knicks.. same idea, too.. loyalty to a clown (Isiah, Sather) and an overall incompetence
