EastCoastNiner
Ha...of all people, you're going to tell me that I make stuff up? I should curb-stomp you, er...I mean, push your head into the sidewalk, for that one. I'm not going to take the side of a man that ignored the police, and one that killed an unarmed kid without being arrested. If you think my decision is a bad one, I'm pretty sure i know what side you're REALLY on, just too afraid to say what you want about it. How many minorities are involved in this case? Just wondering if you knew. Wanting hand-outs? Is that because I don't want dirty Republicans taking away Medicaid and Medicare? Ah, am I surprised you went there? Nope. Nah, you never did say that Zimmerman was innocent, but bet your ass you'd be the guy in here (with Flash, of course) finding a reason why Zimmerman did what he did. Who posted that Trayvon "curb-stomped" Zimmerman? You. Who posted the picture showing a fake picture of Trayvon, looking like he could be a juvenile delinquent? You. Who brought race into the equation, and political views, immediately? You. Make no mistake about it: you have a reputation that I'll refrain from defining...it's just not a good one when it comes to these topics. Reid posted that he knew you were reading this topic...because we all did, and were anticipating your response. Kyle posted something that basically said you and Flash were strikingly similar...because you both are. But, you go ahead and continue your research and all of your meaningless digging, trying to find a way to justify what happened. Just be sure to play it off as if you're still "keeping an open mind" about it all and not exactly coming out and saying the kid is a punk ass drug dealer that deserved to get shot and killed because he's your typical fearless black teenager that's "about that life" that's being backed by a "liberal media" and a crowd full of racists that cry racism. 1.Curb-stomping him and stepping on his head on the pavement are pretty much the same thing. 2. Do you mind showing me where I was listing reasons for why Zimmerman did what he did? All I have said is that there is more to this story than what's come out already, both ways. It's funny how the two people you are calling out here are the two people in this thread that are open to both sides of the story. Pretty much every other person in here has their mind set on saying Zimmerman is without a about guilty. Oh, but you'll point to your Facebook post. And, in return, I'll just say, "Nah, you never did say that Trayvon was an angel, but bet your ass you'd be the guy in here (with the rest of the sheep, of course) finding a reason's to sugarcoat Trayvon Martin's alleged actions". 3. The "digging" has nothing to do with justifying anything, but rather tries to show that Trayvon may not be the angel that the media is trying to make him out to be, or that he was completely innocent here. However, I wouldn't expect you to be able to differentiate between the two. Again, there's probably truth and fiction to both sides of the story. At first, as I said before, I believe Zimmerman was certainly in the wrong. However, unlike you and most people, I didn't rush to judgement, and I'm waiting for more information to for my final opinion. Neither myself nor Flash are sugarcoating Zimmerman's action and his past, but don't want to see both sides of a story.
Flash
Yeah I don't get what's wrong about posting different things that come up regarding the story. People have posted things regarding both sides. We're all on the same side here (Trayvon's) which makes this even more ridiculous.
NomarFachix
1.Curb-stomping him and stepping on his head on the pavement are pretty much the same thing.Where did anything published say that he stepped on his head? lol I am so confused. They are alleging that Trayvon mounted him and slammed his head into the sidewalk with his hands (and repeatedly). I hope this clears up any future confusion.

Owner Real Deal Posted March 27, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted March 27, 2012 So now we're not supposed to discuss the biggest news story in the country right now? Meh, I think I'll choose to keep discussing it with people who wanna have a reasonable discussion about it. Not those who resort to telling members to stfu because they don't agree with me on every little issue. Its not like me and ECN were the only ones posting in this thread, and its also interesting that there are a couple other members who agreed with what I had to say. I guess they're racist asshole's too right? I never said one bad thing about the kid, nor will I. I found that picture and even then said I wasn't sure if it was Martin or not, also completely disagreed with that right wing biased article that was AWFUL journalism but go ahead and keep labeling me as a racist bigot even though I've stated a hundred times I'm on the kids side. That's odd...I don't remember calling you a racist, but you stay strong in assuming I did. I never did believe in the "guilty cry louder" saying, though. I'm done with this, anyway. It's disappointing that anyone cares to point out how Trayvon Martin was as a 17-year old kid...when all that matters is that he WAS a 17-year old living being. People are on a basketball message board, spending all of their time posting in this topic and searching for pictures of the kid, reading numerous articles about the life he once had, trying to make sense of something that is clear as day already. Do I think there was racism involved? Sure, if Zimmerman used the word "coon" when describing him...simple as that. Do I think racism was involved in the article ECN posted, about the five year old being burned? Most definitely. The point is, it happens. It will never end. That's how life goes, and because of that, a kid is dead. Whether or not the media covers this, and doesn't cover that, and decides to cover whatever else...irrelevant to me. The outrage resulted in the coverage. People were pissed about it before the national media stepped in. That's usually how the process works. OTR is stained with posters that feed off of the political bullshit baiting, or the racist remarks made in things such as the Random Thread, or all of the ignorant "atheism vs. religion" talk...and I will not pay money to host this place if it continues going down that road. I didn't put over seven years into this place for it to turn out this way, and you can bet anything that I will stomp throats and take out the trash one final time before I loosen my grip and walk away. Flash
"stained"? Please dude we're discussing the biggest news story in America. People are going to have different opinions on social issues. Its what makes these different topics so interesting to discuss with one another. We're not always going to agree on everything because well, that's how life is.

EastCoastNiner
And, this is being eaten up by many of the Trayvon supporters. Talk about pathetic. They should all be thrown in prison. http://twitchy.com/2012/03/24/spike-lee-retweets-george-zimmermans-address-threats/ It's also an incorrect address. It's absolutely pathetic, and you wonder why there are stereotypes....that are also true. Oh, and Trayvon's mother is going to start making money off some of his slogans. I'm so surprised that she would be trying to make money off of this....... Edited March 27, 2012 by BeeBeeSee

EastCoastNiner
Nope, arresting retweeters and not a guy who shot and killed a child told me all I needed to know Hence, my previous question. It was a hyperbole. Do you want a dictionary to look up that word? No, I don't honestly think the retweeters should be arrested, but those who made the original remarks should be questioned as many inner-city kids who are in full support of Trayvon could very likely take after those tweets. Not to mention it was the main address? What should Zimmerman be arrested for? What should he be charged with right now?

NomarFachix
It was a hyperbole. Do you want a dictionary to look up that word? You would be halfway bearable if you could debate a point without acting like a 13 year old with condescending comments like these every time someone disagrees with you. It wasn't clear hyperbole, as thinking a black Twitter user should be arrested is right up your alley. Apologies for not picking up on the slight exaggeration.
