New York @ Milwaukee

I hope we can get a win here. A loss here would REALLY hurt, gotta win your games against the bad teams if you want to be a contender. Usually Milwaukee's D is worse than ours, let's see if they've changed.

You guys aren't considered a "good" team either you know? ;)

Either way, we're up 18 right now.

Bucks scored 40 points in the FIRST quarter! :dribble:

Our 2nd round pick, Meeks, has been impressive tonight with 12 points in only seven minutes. Bogut is two rebounds away from a double-double in the first half. Warrick, Delfino, and Jennings are also contributing nicely. It looks like we'll be able to coast to a victory as we're now up 66-35 at the half.

The only things Jennings really needs to work on is shot selection and turnovers. He's already given the ball up 5 times tonight and is 6-11 from the field, which isn't bad but I think it could be a bit better. I liked the way he found his teammates in his first game when he racked up 9 assists, I'd almost rather see him go back to that than shooting more. He's a great passer so I think he could easily get 5 or 6 assists each night.

Jennings is a mini, poor version of Allen Iverson.

And the Knicks did try to make it a game later on (really just in the second half), but wow...no defense. Harrington, Hill and Chandler just played terrible tonight on offense, also...and Gallinari needs to stop picking up stupid fouls and turning the ball over.

Watching the game the other night the announcers made an interesting comment. Brandon Jennings isn't AI nor is he anyone else in the league. Sure, he may have tuned his game to the likes of AI's earlier in his career but they are still completely different players.

Brandon Jennings is Brandon Jennings, no one else.

Everyone has a comparison. His game is similar if you drop the intensity three notches. He struggles with his shot, he drives to the rim and finishes well, he steals the ball well, throws 4-5 assists per game, and rebounds well for a 6-1, 165-pound combo guard he technically is (one inch and five pounds away from the combo guard that did all of that in Philadelphia in 1996).

Jennings - 18.8 PPG on 42.9% FG, 70.0% FT, 4.5 RPG, 4.8 APG, 1.8 SPG

Iverson (1996) - 23.5 PPG on 41.6% FG, 70.2% FT, 4.1 RPG, 7.5 APG, 2.1 SPG

Of course, Iverson was the better player, but Jennings' game is very similar, and so are his stats.

You can't really say Iverson was the better player as we're only 4 games into Brandon's rookie season. In time Brandon could emerge as the better player if he holds onto the starting job.

Only time will tell really.
