Final Four: #2 Ohio State vs. #2 Kansas

Go Buckeyes! I'll be at the student union watching this. Should be nuts.

Even though we played Kansas, I remember very little about the game. We didn't have Sullinger, but I don't think that gives us an advantage in this game.

If we get something from William Buford, that'll help. But up to this point, we've won with DeShaun Thomas scoring, Sullinger crashing the boards, and suffocating defense lead by Aaron Craft. If we can get those three things, we're going to the championship game. If Robinson plays well, Matta should consider putting in Amir Williams. He's played little this season, but provides the size we may need.

I was pulling for Kansas, but they can thank a big blown call at the end of the game for their win.

You mean the one where Craft crossed the line before the ball hit rim?

No, I'm talking about the blatant hack about a minute before that drew blood, and Kansas went down and scored. Instead of Ohio State shooting FT's, Kansas got a basket in transition.

Ah, I thought you meant the horrible travel call on Withey (that everyone was laughing at), or even where Craft hacked Thomas Robinson after he stole the ball and went up for a layup, without a call.

Stick to the NFL.

The Withey call was brutal, but Craft's strip was clean, at least from what I saw.

I was watching it on my phone during my lunch break, so I could easily have missed something, though.

Ah, the plays that occurred after it when Ohio State could have had the lead instead of being down?

Yes, it was not a travel. No, that was not a foul on Craft. It was a clean strip unless you don't want steals in basketball.

For some reason, you don't seem to understand context or momentum. Instead of Ohio State being down, they likely would have been up after that non-call, which drew blood as well.

Enjoy the 15+ point loss to Kentucky.

You're hilarious. Nice trolling attempt, though.

Ohio State lost because they could not maintain a lead, all due to rushed shots and the huge defensive adjustment in the second half. KU was barely at the line the entire game, despite attacking the rim and getting far more points in the paint, and despite the bad calls against us and poor play from Ty Taylor, we still came out on top.

Hard to take anything you say seriously when it comes to basketball. I'm not being mean, I'm being honest. You're the only guy that has ever posted here that thinks Michael Jordan isn't the GOAT (or even arguably the GOAT, which is sad). I did notice you stopped posting about Amare's "greatness" and Boston's "greatness" quickly, though...rarely see you in the NBA discussions we have, actually...and how many posts do you have about college basketball?

Again...we have a football section. That's your cup of tea. Sorry to be brutally honest, but yeah.

1. Nice job ignoring the entire play in question. I never said that Ohio State outplayed them. However, if that call was made, I have little doubt they would have won. Maybe you didn't see the play because you had some white and blue in your eyes. It was a game changing play.

Do you mind finding where I said Kansas didn't play well or that Ohio State outplayed them?

2.M.J. isn't the G.O.A.T., and you locked the thread because you guys couldn't form an argument that was worthwhile.

3. Amare's career went downhill since he went to the city of losers.

4. I'd like to be shown some posts of me talking about Boston's "greatness" in terms of the Celtics.

5. I wasn't aware that someone has to watch a lot of college basketball to know what a foul is.

6. College basketball is pretty poor. The NBA is far superior in nearly every aspect.

Anyways, I'm done with this topic. I don't care enough about it to keep talking about it.

Edit: There we go. With about 1:17 on the clock, when Johnson went down and scored to put Kansas up by three points. Obvious foul is obvious. Obvious blood is obvious.

I'm cracking up. Withey blocked the shot right after he put it up. Robinson's arm/elbow caught Thomas (I believe that's who that was) in the face right as the shot was being blocked. Would you like the replay of it? Withey didn't touch him.

EDIT: The shot wasn't even attempted by Thomas, lol. The attempt was by Buford. LOL...what the hell were you watching?

The referee is going to watch the shooter, to make sure he isn't fouled. He wasn't. Withey got a clean block, no foul on the shot, KU won by true grit and their adjustments.

I'm not even sure what you're saying now. The shooter wasn't fouled. Do you watch ball and have any idea how much physical incidental contact happens off the ball? You're hilarious.

Do you mind showing me where I said the shooter was the one who was fouled?

Then you had no reason to post, lol.

You know damn well I will tell you when a foul is a foul, don't care what team, even if it's LA. If you go back and look at the video I posted, it's clear as day the contact was incidental, and even then, Thomas' arm comes up and hits Robinson's face AT THE SAME TIME.

No referee calls that, for either player. Neither was in position for the board coming far left off the rim. If you have played, coached, or had to referee a game (I've done all three), you would know this.

I'm not claiming you wouldn't usually calla a foul a foul, but I do think you're being slightly biased right now. I don't think it;s just the fact that you don't think it was a foul (I think it was), but that you are pointing to other plays that occurred after it that somehow "even it out".

Are you telling me incidental contact is never called as a foul? That's pretty much what you're saying, but you also throw in the "even then" part.

At the end of the day, I think it was a missed call. I think it could have certainly changed the game around. If Ohio State hits both FT's, then Kansas isn't getting an easy basket, and Ohio State is up one at that point.

Are you really trying to say that referees don't call fouls when players are getting in position, even when the balls on the other side of the rim? You're not serious with this are you?

I'll leave it here:

Do you think it was a foul?

Do you think it would have been a foul if not for the time left in the game?

Do you think the outcome would have been different, had the call been made?

You either call a double foul, because both were hit in the face by each other, or you let it go. Like I said, the referee was watching the most important part of the play, which was the shot itself, and the rebound after. Both players were not involved in the shot, and not in position to grab the board (even if there was no contact).

Does it change the game? Nobody knows. If the double foul is called, KU is still up and with the ball.

Nowhere did I say that the calls "evened out" during the sequence (the last minute or so).

Obviously, you're not watching the video I posted. Robinson was hit in the face as well. Both hit each other in the face. You aren't going to call it in favor of one player.

How does that not make any sense to you?
