Warren2ThaG
Kobe for another 40+? I think so. Mbenga might get a double double hehe.
Owner Real Deal Posted November 9, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted November 9, 2009 Kobe already has eight of the first 15 for the Lakers. He's coming out gunning, and Ron Artest is setting him up nicely. I love what Ron brings to our team.
Owner Real Deal Posted November 9, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted November 9, 2009 Kobe ends the first with 14, and the Lakers are up 10 on the Hornets, despite missing Gasol and Bynum. I don't get how we can do so well without them in the game. The Hornets are 2-4, yeah, but West and Okafor seem to be struggling to get position against Odom and Mbenga, and that shouldn't be that big of a problem for those two. CP3 needs to get it going, for New Orleans' sake. He's not driving the lane hard, even with Fisher and Farmar defending him.
Vitasoy
Fish beats the buzzer once again.
Owner Real Deal Posted November 9, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted November 9, 2009 Kobe with 26 at the half, Lakers up 13. Odom looks like he's going to get a triple double, and Ron is playing good defense. Can't wait to get Gasol and Bynum back.
kingfish
Kobe with 24 points, 0 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal. Hey I love the scoring but thats not a lovely overall stat line. I guess hes just savin his energy for all scoring.
Owner Real Deal Posted November 9, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted November 9, 2009 He's got 26, and I think this game is already over.
Cleveland's Finest
New Orleans was overrated coming into this year. They are a shell of a shell of themselves from 2 years ago. They won't make the playoffs imo....Paul just doesn't have the help he needs.
Warren2ThaG
Tell Mbenga to relax! He'll want a raise ASAP.
Be Like Mike
damn, wanted Kobe to drop 50. too bad the hornets couldn't stay competitive in the 2nd half. Bynum and Gasol should sit out till they're 150% healthy. I wanted Kobe to have another historic season. He's always had slow starts at the beginning of a season, he beastin early right now. kingfish
I just dont understand this. How are we blowing teams out with this team? We are without Bynum AND Gasol. I know the Hornets are bad, but shouldnt they be able to take advantage. Okafor and West were non existent, why wasnt CP3 abusing Derek Fisher? Kobe did nothing in the 2nd half. We still win big, and were up by 25+ with the starters in. What in the world is going to happen when Gasol and Bynum come back.

Well what I wanna know is how often we're going to bring Kobe to the post when Gasol and Bynum comes back. Tonight our bigs cleared the block for Kobe and exploited this. I don't think that will be the case once Gasol and Bynum come back. Sure we'll see it more often than last year, but not as much as we've seen in the last 3 games. Also despite our shortages, Hornets are still thin with talent, and West wasn't playing aggressive at all. But I dunno why CP3 didn't show up tenacious. Hornets were playing unmotivated. Poe
12 boards and 4 blocks... based off stats, Mbenga does a great job filling in once again, and he even managed double figure scoring, which is probably the first double double of his career. kingfish
B, I cant wait til we get the boys back and we got 2 beastly perimeter defenders (3 if you count Shannon) and 2 beasts in the paint (3 if you count Mbangya). You excited too?

You excited too? Well, I was already prepared to accept a 67+ win season. I think we can do it. I just wasn't prepared to watch Kobe dominate so early and us being 6-1 without Gasol (and a couple of games without Bynum). But then again, just think...even without Gasol and Bynum, our team still has Kobe, Artest, Odom, an improved Shannon Brown, Fisher, and some freak named DJ Mbenga. Pretty odd how well he's playing, but hey, I can't complain.
Warren2ThaG
Maybe the injuries helped us once again, we can compete with a true healthy team and gave confidence to others when they need to come in and produce.
OSUBucksfan09
Im incredibly shocked about Mbenga, last time he did anything worth while was in the finals against the heat(when he was on the mavericks) and he was going in to help with extra fouls on shaq, lol. I think there's something to being the defending champs and having a guy who takes off the pressure like Kobe does that just makes everyone better and its happening now to these guys as injuries are in play.
