Universe
http://habsinsideout.com/main/20904 The rumours are true. Travis Moen has signed with the Canadiens, RDS reports. Details to come. Huge day!
Universe
ALSO, great video of Saku. Though he is one of the few Canadien captains without a ring, he's definately had to face the most out of all of them and he's been a true warrior throughout this. Gonna miss him! Universe
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/ovechkin-invited-to-big-o-bash/article1217158/ The Montreal Canadiens’ regular-season game at Olympic Stadium is expected to be on the agenda when the 2009-10 NHL schedule is released tomorrow. The final tinkering to the 92nd NHL regular season will be made in the next 24 hours, but a league source indicated yesterday that a Habs home game against the Washington Capitals and star sniper Alex Ovechkin “is still in the mix for late November.” The indoor game at Olympic Stadium is expected to be contested on Nov. 28 or the previous Saturday to help commemorate the Canadiens’ centennial celebrations that will conclude on Dec. 5 with a match against the rival Boston Bruins at the Bell Centre. The Olympic Stadium game was an idea brought forth, discussed and met with approval at the competition committee meeting three weeks ago – providing the NHL schedule makers could accommodate the request. Universe
Fucland is reporting the Canadiens are trying to resign Schneider...and make him captain. I'd LOVE to have him back but for captain? I think even Patrice deserves it more even if he only plays 12 games and the rest in the press box. Universe
Montreal just signed Manny Fernandez which pretty much puts an end to Halak as it's pretty easy to see that Stanford and Manny will battle for the back up spot. Eukland is also reporting that Habs are 'close' to trading for Alexander Frolov which would include Halak IMO.
Phightins
Eklund is an idiot though.
Universe
Eklund is an idiot though.Well everyone knows that but Halak isn't going to the AHL again and I doubt we rock Manny and Curtis as our goalies for Hamilton. Gotta be getting something half decent for him too.
fly3rs18
the frolov trade makes sense for montreal, but not for LA unless they are getting a bunch of other guys
Universe
I'd assume it would be for the Kost Bros but mostly for Halak. Jonathan Bernier is going to be a stud but Halak can help him take the load off his shoulders for now.

Universe
Some updates: Laraque has lost 20 pounds and has strengthed his back. Maxim ankle is still bothering him but feels better. Gill can't wait to help out Price and Gorges is looking to be captain.
Universe
All the new guys who played last night had a point and Ryan "O'Bryane actually won a fight. Also sad to see Gorges not wearing an 'A' meaning he won't be captian.
Universe
Going to see Montreals prospect Petteri Simila tonight as I scored free tickets. I hope he starts tonight.
Universe
Tom Pyatt becoming a real surprise. Wasn't pleased we had to let go of Ryan McDonagh in the Gomez-Higgins swap but he's definatly been playing very well.
Universe
Patrice Brisbios retired last night. He was one of my favourites growing up and thought he was the greatest until I realized how bad he actually was. Hope he does well in Nascar. Phightins
Seriously?!?! That is [expletive]ing awesome. There is a big controversy around here about some Flyers games not being available to certain people (way too complicated for me to get into right now), but needless to say that site will come in handy for me. Thanks a lot.
fly3rs18
oh wow that site is amazing. because i go to school in north jersey now, so i get all the NY stations instead of phiily. i can only watch the devils, rangers, and islanders games on tv. that site is gonna help a lot
Universe
Yeah that site allows you to follow your teams prospects too as it airs almost every semi pro game as well. Also, Sergei Kostitsyn was sent down to Hamilton which sends a big message and also allows MaxPac to stay with the team. Universe
Now Sergei wants to be traded which means two things: 1) He heads over to the KHL 2) He is packaged with his brother for someone like Alexander Frolov.
Universe
Montreal named Markov, Gionta and Gill assistant captains today so we will be captainless for awhile.
