The Regime
The NBA will likely decide what to do with Metta World Peace today. Announcement is expected this afternoon. Lakers' next game is Thursday https://twitter.com/#!/AlexKennedyNBA/status/194791782461079552

ChosenOne
I would hand him two games. Four MAX.
NomarFachix
7 games. Carries into playoffs. Eligible for game 7 in the first round, if it goes there.
EastCoastNiner
That's the correct call. I usually hate long suspensions (if you call this long), but this was a clear, dirty elbow with some good force to the head of Harden. Very good suspension. Lemon
Artest will miss the Lakers' regular-season finale against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday and the Lakers' first six playoff games. If the Lakers play only four or five games in the postseason, the suspension will carry over to the start of next season. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--ron-artest-suspended-seven-games.html;_ylt=AgMiGyFBEJ.fruQ8sip8noG8vLYF
Flash
Should've gotten 10 IMO.
Finch23
Wow 7 games huh, I'm content with that. IMO that's a big blow to the Lakers, yeah Barnes has been playing well but you need that toughness that Artest has. I think LA can beat Denver, but if Dallas moves up to 6 that's going to be a long series.
ChosenOne
Damn I'm honestly surprised with that amount. I didn't think they would come down that hard on him.
Guru
7 seems right. My first thought when I saw it happen was 5+ but not 10.
?QuestionMark?
I'm surprised they only gave him 7. Considering Bynum was given 5 games for what he did to Barea and all the media hype surrounding Artest's elbow, I was almost expecting Artest to be done for the playoffs. Glad that's not the case. No Artest, no way LA has a chance to get by Durant and OKC over a 7 game series.
YugoRocketsFan
Not too bad, they will get him in the 2nd round when they actually need him
