magicbalala245
Never mind with Rockets stock piling draft picks for Gasol There has been speculation that the Rockets may be trying to use the picks to land Lakers big man Pau Gasol. The Rockets pursued him in December and thought they had a deal for Gasol as part of the larger Chris Paul deal to the Lakers that the NBA scuttled. However, a league source told ESPN.com that the Rockets are no longer pursuing Gasol.
magicbalala245
God damn it my bad Real Deal were gonna need a Pau thread in here cause apparently it's now very possible Rockets can go after Pau Other news organizations reporting Rockets not pursuing Pau Gasol, but I was just told by source that "it's very possible." But they may go after the Warriors' No. 7 pick first (for 12 and 16).

magicbalala245
Officially dead now While rival executives believed Houston's target was Lakers forward Pau Gasol, a person familiar with the team's strategy debunked that idea and said the Rockets front office has cooled significantly on the Spanish 7-footer. Gasol made sense when Houston was pursuing him in the past year and was trying to set up a three-year window with Kyle Lowry, Gasol and another big-man target, Nene. But the person briefed on the Rockets' current plan doubted Gasol would make sense for the franchise anymore.
ChosenOne
Thank god. I knew we didn't want him but I had a feeling he might have been a plan C or some shit. Thank god he's completely out of the picture now.
