Sħãlïq™
The Clippers reached out to Courtney Lee on Tuesday after the 6-foot-5 guard was told that the Houston Rockets weren’t going to make him a qualifying offer, a person close to Lee who was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter confirmed to The Times. That makes Lee an unrestricted free agent and able to sign with any team. Multiple reports said that the Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks and Washington Wizards also have interest in Lee. Lee, a four-year veteran, would also be a good fit for the Clippers because they are looking for a big shooting guard and for someone who can spread the floor with his outside shot. Lee, who made $2.2 million last season, averaged 11.4 points last season in 58 games, 26 as a starter for the Rockets. He shot 43.3% from the field, 40.3% from three-point range. The Clippers continue to have interest in guards Jamal Crawford and Ray Allen.Full Story
