But, Kobe Bryant wants to make it clear that he's still the king of the NBA when it comes to 'chips. So, during a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Kobe talked about Bron-Bron's recent accomplishment and stressed that one title is, well, basically nothing. "One championship doesn't get it [done], you know what I'm saying?" he said. "So, for me, when we won one, it was a little different because it was, like, you know, Michael [Jordan] had six, Magic [Johnson] had five. So, me and Shaq both were like, 'Man, we got to get some more. One ain't going to cut it.'…Since the last time we were here [playing in the 2008 Olympics], I got two." According to the SI reporter, Kobe emphasized the two. And, he also revealed that he plans on reminding LeBron that he still has a looooooong way to go if he wants to get on Kobe's level. "I will [remind LeBron that I have more rings than he does]," he said. "I will." Let the shit-talking begin!http://www.complex.com/sports/2012/07/kobe-bryant-wants-to-remind-lebron-james-that-he-has-more-nba-championships-than-him Edited July 9, 2012 by Makaveli

Owner Real Deal Posted July 9, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted July 9, 2012 LOL. The Ray Allen signing was much better. No way. That's not saying the Lakers can beat the Heat next season, but Nash to LA was far, far better for us than Ray to Miami was to the Heat, considering just how bad we need a PG and how many scoring options we have now. At this point Steve Nash is only a small upgrade over Sessions, the Lakers biggest problem which is bench scoring hasn't even been slightly improved yet. The Heat's biggest problems is production from anyone not named Wade, Bosh, LeBron and having a decent center. The already improved their biggest problem by signing Ray Ray. I know you don't want to see the Lakers getting better, but I know you don't believe what you're saying, either. Sessions didn't do anything he was asked to do for us. He continued to settle for jumpers, slashed to the rim every now and then, and didn't consistently create for teammates. It was the one thing that would have put us over the hump. Bench scoring was a problem, but you can go all the way with a lackluster bench. Both OKC and Miami proved this (Harden was basically a starter), while the Spurs fell apart. Shane Battier came out of nowhere, and so did Mike Miller, and how many games (throughout the season) did you see them play that way? LA's primary focus was to land a PG. They tried to with CP3, they probably went after Deron Williams before he re-signed with the Nets, they went after Sessions during the season in hopes that he would make a difference, and now, they trade away future picks and their TPE for Steve Nash. I'm pretty sure the team knows what they need to put together another championship run. This franchise has won nearly 40% of the championships in the last 13 seasons. Creating shots will always be more significant than a three-point shot, and as it stands, Nash is also a better player than Ray Allen, a shooter that really can't do much of anything else at this point of his career. There's no way that Ray Allen transaction is more significant.
