MainEv3nt
Mavericks to use amnesty clause on center Brendan Haywood The Mavericks will use their amnesty clause on center Brendan Haywood, SportsDay's Eddie Sefko has learned. The move will sever the Mavericks' ties with Haywood, though he will still receive the remainder of the money owed to him on the six-year, $55 million extension he signed prior to the 2010-11 season. His salary will no longer count against the Mavericks' cap number, however. This comes on the heels of the news that the Mavericks are near an agreement for a one-year deal with free agent center Chris Kaman, who figures to take over the starting center role for the Mavericks next season. http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/dallas-mavericks/headlines/20120711-mavericks-to-use-amnesty-clause-on-center-brendan-haywood.ece
Abro
Nice. Good for them. Now hopefully no one bids on him because I would really like to see him on the Heat. We desperately need a big man.
