The Regime
The Lakers are targeting Antawn Jamison, Elton Brand and Jermaine O'Neal as they look to improve the frontcourt. The Lakers hope one of the three veteran bigs accept the veteran's minimum. The team also has the 'mini' mid-level exception, which begins at $3 million per year, but prefer to hold onto that in case a Dwight Howard trade is consummated. Los Angeles remains in negotiations with Jordan Hill as well. http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/story/_/id/8162111/source-los-angeles-lakers-looking-antawn-jamison-elton-brand-jermaine-oneal
Blazed49
I think jamison would be nice off the bench.
Make It Naaaashty
Brand would be perfect. He can hit those open mid range jumpers which could be very beneficial with Nash. Anyone but Oneal and it'll be a solid pick up.
Lkr
I hope we get Jordan Hill back, dude is a monster
ChosenOne
Oneal would probably get hurt so i don't really know about him but Brand and Jamison would be excellent fit for them as they would provide some scoring off the bench which LA desperately needs. The Regime
I hope we get Jordan Hill back, dude is a monster I agree, he's a much bigger priority that any of the aforementioned guys. However, I'm really hoping the Lakers can make a push for Jamison, he brings that Lamar Odom type dimension back to the team.
Owner Real Deal Posted July 17, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted July 17, 2012 I really wish we could find a way to get more athletic and run faster. I mean, I know what Dallas did two seasons ago, but they had players who could get up and down the court, also. I don't want Jermaine. He's way too injury-prone, and I just don't trust him out there for us. We need someone that can come off the bench and spread the floor, a stretch-four. We can't have anyone trying to take up space on the low block, whoever it is. If it's out of these three, I see no reason to shy away from Jamison. I would hope the Lakers know better (and I'm sure they do). He's the guy.
