The Regime
O.J. Mayo has received interest fro the Lakers, Bulls, Suns and Mavericks. Mayo is an unrestricted free agent after the Grizzlies elected not to give him the qualifying offer. Mayo hopes to make a decision within the next 10 days. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/222320/Lakers_Bulls_Suns_Mavericks_Interested_In_OJ_Mayo
Make It Naaaashty
Mavs will prolly end up getting him but he would be raw in LA. Decent shooter that Nash needs.
Lkr
how the hell would the Lakers be able to afford him? aren't we over the cap?
Owner Real Deal Posted July 15, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted July 15, 2012 how the hell would the Lakers be able to afford him? aren't we over the cap?Sign-and-trade for Josh McRoberts, since Memphis is stupid and actually wants him, for some reason. Doubt it happens, though. Mayo in Chicago would be nice for the Bulls, especially with Rose hurt.
DunkinDerozan
Mayo to Bulls is my guess
Nitro
Exactly what LA and Chicago need. Gives LA some athleticism and firepower at the wing position (finally), and gives Chicago another guy beside Rose who can occasionally create his own offense as well as drain the 3. We can't keep playing our PG's at the two (Blake, Goudelock).
Check my Stats
Sign-and-trade for Josh McRoberts, since Memphis is stupid and actually wants him, for some reason. Doubt it happens, though. Mayo in Chicago would be nice for the Bulls, especially with Rose hurt. Didn't they renounce his rights? Not sure how it works, but I assumed by doing that they lost his bird rights. Anyways, Chicago is a perfect fit. 30+ minutes a night, 2nd/3rd option offensively (obviously not ideal for CHI, but beggars can't be choosers), and a contender for the next while? Perfect, they both give each other what they are wanting.
