Owner Real Deal Posted July 15, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted July 15, 2012 David Aldridge @daldridgetntPhoenix Suns are awarded ex-Rockets forward Luis Scola, per league sources. Houston used amnesty clause on Scola Friday. Jonathan Feigen @Jonathan_FeigenTo add Luis Scola, the Suns made Josh Childress and amnesty cut, source said. Owner Real Deal Posted July 15, 2012 Author Owner Report Share Posted July 15, 2012 So the Suns drafted Kendall Marshall, picked up Scola, and added Beasley and Dragic from free agency. Could be getting OJ Mayo as well, and you can't forget, they landed two first rounders and two second rounders by trading Nash to LA. That's pretty impressive. YugoRocketsFan
Dragic and Scola now? Wanna take Kevin Martin too?
Make It Naaaashty
Suns doing mad work right now. Rebounding very well after losing Nash. If they can somehow get Mayo, I can see this team being a 7-8 seed in the playoffs possibly.

Built Ford Tough
I don't know. I think Phoenix is going to be in a very, very similar situation as they were with Nash. Too good to get an impact player in the draft but not good enough to make the playoffs (or, get swept in the 1st round). Gortat/LopezScola/FryeBeasleyMayoDragic/Marshall That screams treadmill team to me. On the bright side, they would be a teadmill team with most players who are relatively young as Scola is the only guy who you could argue is on the wrong side of his prime years. Despite that, I still don't see a very bright future for this team unless something comes totally out of left field.
ChosenOne
Good move by them. Cant wait to see how this team plays defense though lol
JYD
I like their team. Getting younger parting with Nash and Hill. A lot depends on how good / what they get out of Kendall Marshall. If Marshall turns out to be a good PG (I think he will be a very good NBA point guard), PHX could be a 7-8 seed next year, and blossom into a damn good team in the future. I also think Beasley in the right situation can still be a 20/10 guy, and be a team's main scorer. Edited July 16, 2012 by JYD
