ChosenOne
The Lakers will sign unrestricted free agent Antawn Jamison, who had been in talks with the Bobcats. Jamison, 36, averaged 17.2 points on a career-low 40.8 percent shooting last season for the Cavaliers. http://blogs.charlotte.com/inside_the_nba/2012/07/antawn-jamison-chooses-lakers-over-bobcats.html

The Regime
We were dead last in bench scoring last season so this is a big time addition. In a sixth man role with far fewer minutes I really think Jamison can flourish on this team. No more Murphy or McRoberts, thank god!

TheNotoriousBANG
good to see i was really worried about his health if he chose Bobcats at this stage of his career he would clearly be mentally unstable to play
Check my Stats
Sorry about your luck LA fans.
Owner Real Deal Posted July 17, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted July 17, 2012 Jamison suddenly becomes our best bench player. Now we just need B-Rush, somehow, and we're good. Rush and Jermaine O'Neal just worked out for us today.
AboveLegit
Solid signing, but I'm much more interested in the possible signing of Brandon Rush. Would be a great addition.

Makaveli
Lakers have agreed to a one-year deal paying the minimum with free agent forward Antawn Jamison, a source tells Yahoo! Sports. low risk, high reward signing. I like it.

Cleveland's Finest
I'll be rooting for LA to win it all next year. I like Nash and Kobe, and want Antawn to win a title very badly.

Lemon
At this point of his career, Jamison is definitely a bench player. I'm happy that it's vet min, but I have a feeling that he's going to be just better than Troy Murphy. Obviously I hope I'm wrong. Solid signing, but I'm much more interested in the possible signing of Brandon Rush. Would be a great addition. Id love to see it but rush is coming off of his best season. He won't come cheap. A good question though is who would start in a Nash offense: mwp or rush?
Abro
Isn't Brandon Rush a SG not a SF?? How tall is he, because I thought he was like 6'6" and if thats it it's gonna be trouble on the defensive end..
Owner Real Deal Posted July 20, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted July 20, 2012 Isn't Brandon Rush a SG not a SF?? How tall is he, because I thought he was like 6'6" and if thats it it's gonna be trouble on the defensive end..Rush can play either position...better defender as a two-guard, but better offensive player as a forward (although, offensively, it's pretty close). His length allows him to defend both positions well enough, but he bothers a lot of SG's.
