Built Ford Tough
Ken Berger @KBergCBS Instant replay will be used now on all flagrant foul calls, Stern says. Referees will be able to look at replay before determining degree. Ken Berger @KBergCBS During last two minutes of regulation or overtime, replay will be used to review restricted area calls and goaltending callls, Stern said. Ken Berger @KBergCBS Flopping and away-from-the-ball fouls were discussed and referred to the competition committee for more discussion at the September meeting. Ken Berger @KBergCBS Adam Silver says it's "likely" some sort of plan for jersey advertisements would be implemented next season. Ken Berger @KBergCBS The current idea, which Silver said needs more discussion, is to have a 2-by-2 advertisement patch on the shoulder of jerseys. Ken Berger @KBergCBS Silver says guidelines on jersey ads would be in effect for next season, but the ads wouldn't appear on jerseys until the following season. Ken Berger @KBergCBS Silver says his sense is that every team is in favor of jersey ads in some form. Ken Berger @KBergCBS Stern says revenue sharing system is expected to make 25 of 30 teams profitable. What are your guys thoughts on jersery advertisements and the increased usage of instant replay? Check my Stats
2x2 is insignificant to us as fans watching the game. It only becomes a problem to me when there is a huge Pepsi logo right underneath the symbol on the front of the jersey. Definitely fine with instant replay being in the final 2 minutes. Sure it might kind of muck the flow of the game a little bit, but getting the call right in the last 2 minutes is incredibly important. Flopping needs to be addressed. I don't know how they'll do it since "flopping" is so subjective depending on who you are talking to.. but somehow they have to do something about it. I would probably be fine with guys getting a technical for flopping.. might seem harsh but guess what, it would definitely stop them from doing it. Lemon
The ads on the USA Jerseys are noticeable but not distracting. I'm okay with that. Replay is ok but they need to sHorten the review process. the cure to flopping is calling less fouls. The recent finals were called decently with the exception of a few touch fouls
