The Regime
Miami got their [expletive] kicked yesterday, and the same thing is going to happen today against a rested Lakers team.
Owner Real Deal Posted December 4, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted December 4, 2009 I hope Artest believes he won't be able to contain Wade, and that it should be Bryant's job. Wade will light Ron up...just too quick.
Warren2ThaG
Won't be posting during the game, have to stay over a house for like 3 hours (foster care home). Hope we win with a huge game from Kobe.

Your basically telling me we got Artest for no reason at all.

Your basically telling me we got Artest for no reason at all.LeBron uses his strength to get to the rim more than anything else. Artest is in Los Angeles to take care of LeBron, Melo, and Pierce...guys that are too strong for Ariza. Bryant will most likely handle the speed demons, along with Shannon Brown. Even though he's not as fast as he used to be...he's still faster than Ron.
Cobb
Every time I see a game thread for the Lakers it seems like they are always at home. How many games have they played on the road? Like 2?
Poe
I'll be very happy if the Heat manage to get a win after getting beaten by nearly 20 yesterday in a late-night game, then traveling on the same night to play another late-night game the next day against the best team in the league...... GO HEAT! Still I think Lebron is pretty fast, Kobe locked him up bad last year. Hopefully Ron can do the same.
Owner Real Deal Posted December 5, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted December 5, 2009 Every time I see a game thread for the Lakers it seems like they are always at home. How many games have they played on the road? Like 2?Four out of the 17 they've played. Only one road loss. Not really a good thing, though. People may think it's great to have an easy first half schedule, but the second half (when everyone is tired) will be filled with away games and long road trips. kingfish
Were annualy the best road team in the NBA though so its no big deal.
Poe
Well, the Heat sort of have the same situation as LA with Ron. Since Q-Rich lost 25 pounds or so last summer, he thinks he can guard anybody in the league. Even though his defense HAS improved quite a bit, he is by no means a lock down defender at ALL. Quick guards will blow by him, and big forwards will destroy him in the post. It's not like he doesn't try, he does have good positioning, he's just simply not a great defender. I'm pretty sure he's going to be the guy guarding Kobe tonight.. God, I hope he does at least a halfway decent job.  BTW, I do expect Ron to guard Wade, especially if Wade doesn't guard Kobe. I wouldn't call it a bad thing, exactly. Wade has gotten very jumpshot-happy recently. I hope he gets back into attack mode, but after his recent performances and possible fatigue from playing back-to-back road games on and off altitude... he'll probably settle for jumpers again. Poe
BTW, neither Jones OR Cook should be the first wings coming off of the bench today. The Heat NEED Dorell's defense today. I hope he gets significant playing time and the he makes the most of it.

Poe
Good. Wade and Kobe are guarding each other. Â This is looking to be a good game. The Heat are playing terrible transition D, though.

The Next Knick
I love a game like this late on a Friday night. I expect Wade to really feel the pressure on how quickly the Heat are sinking and come out with a decent win.
