I stuck by two classes that I was failing, believing I could get myself out of it by studying my ass off, but I realized I am not the kind of student who can pass a class when the teacher is of no help. My school allows you to fail 3 classes and replace the grade by taking it again and it won't hurt your GPA, after that, you keep the grade in your GPA. I already used that twice on classes that aren't even related to my major, but I went from an F to an A both times, which should tell you how much the teacher factors into the grade. You will probably end up taking it again and having to pay for it again.
