Guru
http://www.rappersiknow.com/2012/08/13/nas-lost-ghostwriters/http://potholesinmyblog.com/nas-used-ghostwriters-for-untitled/https://twitter.com/dreamhampton/statuses/235150707039293440 For those that don’t know, Dream Hampton is a close friend of Jay-Z’s and helped him pen his lyric book Decoded. Also, she’s not referring to Hov in the above tweet but Jay Electronica, who along with Stic, of Dead Prez, apparently wrote a lot of the more revolutionary minded joints on Untitled. Hmmm, thoughts? Does this change how you look at the lyricist? I'm interested to hear everyones opinion on a topic like this.
Nitro
I'll say what I said on KTT... She apparently wrote this as a response to someone criticizing Jigga through a tweet, and the title of the article is titled "Nas Lost" also with some gay equation stating that all his albums besides Illmatic sucked. Obviously an agenda. Why did it take nearly 5 years for this to come out? In the article, it only says, "Jay (Electronica) called me and said he was ghostwriting for Nas." This could mean only one line, the entire album, or anything inbetween. I believe he maybe helped him with some choruses or concepts, but not on the verses aside from maybe a line here or there. Kanye had that kind of part in Common's Be album, and I believe he's even credited as a writer on many of those songs. Nas' flow, rhyme schemes, delivery and flow on Untitled is very consistent to everything he did prior to that album, besides Illmatic in which he didn't have the same spoken-word flow that he had after. Therefor, I am inclined to believe that he didn't have his verses ghostwritten. Considering the circumstances of this revelation, and the facts at hand, I tend to believe it isn't what this author is trying to make it out to be. Nitro
As far as the rumors about myself and jay electronika ghost writing for Nas, let me say this. Nas is one of the if not the most prolific original lyricist to EVER do it. My contributions to his album was a collaboration and an honor and under his direction of what he wanted to convey and say. Haters cant discredit that man's genuis. Nas is the Don.https://www.facebook.com/STICRBG/posts/10150992809616027
