Sħãlïq™ Posted August 24, 2012 Report Share Posted August 24, 2012 Martell Webster to join Wizards Free-agent swingman Martell Webster has agreed to terms on a new contract with the Washington Wizards, according to sources with knowledge of the deal. ESPN.com reported Wednesday that Webster had auditioned for the Wizards earlier in the week and had Washington on the short list of teams with whom he likely would sign. Released by the Minnesota Timberwolves in July when they were clearing salary-cap space for the ill-fated potential signing of restricted free agent Nicolas Batum, Webster is said to be recovering well from back surgery that preceded his final season with the Wolves.
