Poe
Good. JO is getting more touches, and also came out of the game early, while the Heat seem to be pushing the tempo a bit. Unfortunately, Haslem is playing center at the moment, but I suppose the matchup is favorable against a slow Okur. The Heat have struggled to put the ball in the basket early on, though. Hopefully it will turn around after this time out.
Poe
Good, good, good. 10-1 run for the Heat after the time out. The Heat are looking to push the break, that's great to see. Dorell is coming into the game earlier as well. Arroyo is having a great defensive game on Deron.
Flash
Joel Anthony with a nice block. He is a very underrated shot blocker. He reminds me a lot of Zo defensively.
Poe
I love the intensity the Heat showed in the first quarter. As shots start to fall, the Heat should build a good lead.
Poe
Bench line up in the 2nd qtr = Chalmers - Wright - Jones - Beasley - Haslem. I can understand Chalmers playing because Arroyo is starting, and Jones is currently better in the Heat system than Cook, but Haslem shouldn't be the center in this situation. O'Neal should have checked into the game by now, especially since he came out with 8 minutes left in the 1st. Dorell and Beasley need more touches. Flash
Jermaine is hurt Poe. Groin injury. Same thing just happened to UD. Someone needs to score...NOW. Why doesn't Michael get the ball?...Ever?
Flash
This is tough to watch. I hate the Jazz. Why the hell isn't Beasley playing? Fricken Spoelstra strikes again...
Poe
Oh wow, didn't realize. The Heat look terrible offensively today. Defense is good and keeping this team in the game. They need to cut down the TOs this quarter.

They need to cut down the TOs this quarter. Chalmers has done more to lose his job coming off the bench than to gain it back. Wade just drilled in the face and no foul. PUT IN BEASLEY SPOELSTRA!! Poe
Cause Haslem has 8 points and 8 boards And matching him up with Kirilenko isn't a good idea, IMO. Edited December 24, 2009 by Poe
Poe
Damn, Wade can't get a call to save his life, lol. And wow for Haslem. 10 points and 9 rebounds for the first half. Is it just me, or does he always happen to put up big numbers when nobody else steps up? Beasley needs to step up. The way he was talking before, it sounded like he was going for 40 tonight (though he didn't literally say that). Hopefully he'll get some more touches the second half, and also play more aggressively overall. Hopefully the Heat will shoot better than 30% the second half. Good grief. It's good that they are forcing their opponents to a bad percentage as well, but they need to make their own shots, too.
Flash
Dwyane looks good this quarter. Arroyo makes so much more happen than Chalmers does too.
Flash
Joel Anthony FTW EDIT: Foul on Udonis?!!?! Edited December 24, 2009 by Flash
Poe
Arroyo is having a great game out there. I'm still skeptical about the fact that he can't make threes <_< Wade is finally coming alive, and Beasley got his first points of the game! Yea, and... foul on Udonis??? He was freaking sandwiched on that rebound Edited December 24, 2009 by Poe
Flash
Ugh. Terrible game for Mike. Utah's packing their defense very tight around the basket making it tough for him to drive. Chalmers needs to find him sooner off those pick and rolls too. He's open for a bit until Kirilenko recovers but of course Mario gives him the ball too late and Kirilenko is right there. Flash
Nice dunk by D-Will even though he might've gotten away with using the off hand to get Joel away. Heat looks good defensively and on the boards. Kirilenko is guarding Beasley really well.

Poe
lol what else can he do in that situation though? I do wanna see Cook though. Its about time he gets minutes.5 seconds on the clock and all he can think to do is shoot a contested three a few feet outside the 3 point arc??? He could have at least TRIED to get around the defender first. Yeesh. He's looked frustrated out there today. I really hope he bounces back the next game. He can't let himself get buried back to the bottom of the bench. The Heat need his versatility. Edited December 24, 2009 by Poe
Poe
Good defensive win for the Heat. Some adjustments still need to be made offensively, but at least they fixed the main reason they lost to Portland last time.
