Lemon
Pau is sitting out this one and probably the next game. Makes sense. If his bad play is as a result of his tendonitis, he should have sat out to recover a few games ago.
The Regime
We get better just by not having Gasol on the floor, he has just been that bad. Any why is Jordan Hill out indefinitely, is Mike D'Antoni just being a douche?

YugoRocketsFan
must be fun to brag about beating a team under .500If its a team that was predicted by all to be a lock for WCF championship, have 2 superstars, and Harden/Parsons/Lin shot awfully then we must brag
The Regime
Turnovers will go down once Nash is back into the mix, but I'm a little concerned about our rebounding. Houston had 29 second chance points. Guys are too focused on running out on offense which is leaving us exposed on the glass. It's rough watching Dwight miss so many damn free-throws, but Laker fans just need to grow accustomed to that. It's not going to get miraculously better. It's funny to imagine how differently this season could have gone had Dwight hit his free-throws at a higher rate.

It's funny to imagine how differently this season could have gone had Dwight hit his free-throws at a higher rate. I wouldn't put the blame on Dwight's FT. Not in this game at least. He shot 50% at FT while the team was shooting 46% from the field, and he made his last two. Defense was bad. It was probably from Duhon getting some time with the starters and not knowing the feel on the defensive schemes. He helped too much off of Toney Douglas. I know it's Toney Douglas, but he made that open 3. The same can be said about Jamison about his lack of experience with the starters. He's had some time with them, but he still can get confused defensively. Lakers are 4th in defensive rebound rate (probably were higher before last night) and Houston is 9th in offensive rebound rate (probably lower before last night). It's what you get when you start the stretch 4, but we obviously didn't compensate for Gasol's rebounds. You usually don't give up 21 offensive rebounds and win.
