Nitro
Out of power. Rain hasn't been bad but the wind is really destroying the area I am in. Lots of damaged houses, things exploding and falling trees.

JYD
My hometown got hit pretty hard in NW New Jersey. Schools are closed for days there, and one of my friend's Dad's, who works on the Public Works Dept., said they don't expect power to be restored for probably two weeks. This is really the reason I moved from New Jersey to North Carolina...for hurricanes like this. Jokes aside though, hopefully everyone stays safe. My sister lives in NYC and I'm not sure if she has power, about to call her now. I know she takes the subway to work, and that has been shutdown for at least the next four days. Phightins
The damage to my property could have been much worse, so I am happy today. Hope everyone else up in this area made out alright.
Owner Real Deal Posted October 30, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted October 30, 2012 They just showed Seaside Heights...filled with sand?!?! Wow...that's scary.
NomarFachix
The [expletive]ing Seaside roller coaster is in the ocean. All my bars on the boardwalk are destroyed. So many of my friends with houses in 5 feet of water and trees through homes. Boats in the middle of the streets. It's ridiculous. Power out everywhere, schools closed for the week, roads ripped up and destroyed.. Two houses floated away and hit the Mantaloking bridge, lol.. So much destruction done in NJ, terrible. Feeling for everyone involved.

Smitty
Our city didn't even get hit that hard but they won't even let us drive anywhere because they blocked nearly every road..getting annoyed.

EastCoastNiner
Overrated storm imho. News making a bigger deal than what it really is. Shut up you little Chi-town chump. U mad Boston, NY, and Philly>>>>>>>>>CHI? Please go. The news is really making it such a bigger deal than it is when there's massive flooding, subways are shut down (8mil+ people in NYC each day), and much more damage. The northeast isn't used to this type of weather. We mainly get snow, but suck it up unlike you mid-west fairies.
Teletopez
Got power back a little while ago. Really, really blessed that I had it easy. Thought we wouldn't have power for several more days. No significant damage for me. Couple fallen small pine trees in the backyard (one of which is back up) and that's about it. Others here have had it worse. There was already a fully grown oak tree spread across a main road well before the major part of the storm hit. New York got shelled, unfortunately. Hope everyone else is doing well. Sorry about the car, Chris.
