Built Ford Tough
John Karalis @RedsArmy_JohnRT @redsarmy_chuck: Ridiculous RT @jeskeets: LeBron hasn't fouled anyone since December 8th against the Hornets. (via Peninsula is Mightier) That is a total of 4 games and about 155 minutes (not counting whenever he picked up his 2nd foul in that Hornet game). Now I can't really comment about whether or not this is because he is just playing passive defense, is getting preferential treatment from refs or is he is actually not committing fouls since I have only watched one Heat game (the Warriors game) during this time period. I just found it interesting that he hasn't been called for one in 4 games. Just going off of averagesm even if he hasn't actually fouled anybody, you would think that over the course of 155 minutes the refs would make a mistake and give him one. SRV
Lebron is never in a position to even look like he could be called for a foul.....he hasn't had an offensive threat for him to really lock down on....I bet that Christmas day match up will be the end of it..if it lasts that long. Check my Stats
I think it is probably a combination of both. I mean he never averages over around 2 fouls a game, its pretty insane considering the minutes he logs and he plays closer and closer to the basket each year (on both ends). JYD
He gets every call when he goes to the hoop so i'm assuming it's a combo of good defense and getting every call from the refs
Built Ford Tough
He gets every call when he goes to the hoop so i'm assuming it's a combo of good defense and getting every call from the refs It isn't exactly the best time to use the "LeBron gets every call" argument considering he is averaging his lowest amount of FTA per game (6) since his rookie season (5.8). For comparisions sake lets look at the top 3 small forwards in the game. - Kevin Durant draws a foul 17.3% of the time and has been fouled a total of 85 times. He has taken 190 shots (roughly 44% of his total attempts) 9 feet from the rim or closer. - Carmelo Anthony draws a foul 14.6% of the time and has been fouled a total of 69 times. He has taken 154 shots (rougly 36% of his total attempts) 9 feet or closer. - LeBron James draws a foul 12.2% of the time and has been fouled a total of 54 times. He has taken 204 shots (roughly 50% of his total attempts) 9 feet or closer.
Check my Stats
If you want to bitch about someone getting every call, try watching a Houston game. Its unbearable at times.

Owner Real Deal Posted December 21, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted December 21, 2012 In fact, I took Scottie Pippen's games with the Bulls, from 1987-1998 (11 seasons), and I didn't find a single instance of him going more than one game without being called for a foul. One game. Kobe's streak is three games, just one time in his career (this season, actually). The other times he went two games without a foul? He wasn't a starter in all but one instance of that. ---------- Funny part is, LeBron did this in 2009, also...from 3/22 to 3/31 (five consecutive games without a foul)...and Steve Nash, who is known as a horrible defender, did it for 11 games this year, 1/8 to 1/28 (lol). Is this an indication of LeBron not being a good defensive player this year, or because he's just incredlble defending others and never fouling? OR he's just not getting calls against him? SRV
The thing is, he hasn't been in position for a foul....on offense, he doesn't truck people like he used to, he does a whole lot of spinning and passing. On defense, I don't even know, I don't think he feels the need to play defense on some players. He just lurks around the court. I guarantee that if he guards Durant in the Christmas game, that streak will stop in like the first 5 minutes of the game. Also, I think there have been two games in this streak where he didn't play in the 4th quarter. Edited December 21, 2012 by SRV

SRV
I was watching the game at a restaurant yesterday, and it was too loud to hear anything. I thought he picked up a foul in the last few seconds so that Spo could make substitutions...only reason I thought that was because they kept showing Lebron laughing on camera and people hugging him.. I thought he purposely screwed himself over lol
