Built Ford Tough
Kadri's hands and vision are absolutely unreal. Some of the passes he makes nobody else on this team would even think about attempting, let alone putting it right on the tape. Him and Frattin have been awesome to watch together. If I wasn't still pro Tank Nation, I'd be very worried about Reimer. That didn't look good and Scrivens has been shaky as hell every game I've seen him play in so far. If Reimer is out for any real length of time it could be trouble.
Phightins
Scrivens looks like an adventure. Luckily for you guys, there shouldn't be much to worry about tonight.
DunkinDerozan
Reimer has a mild MCL knee strain. Expected to be out atleast a week. Could have been a lot worse, I think we'll be fine.

I can't help but wonder where he'd be today if he had a non-asshole coach jerking him around for the past 3 years (Wilson).
Check my Stats
Man I've been such a huge advocate of Kadri all these years I've honestly never been happier to see a guy succeed in any professional sport. The fact people wanted him traded for scraps, calling him a bust, etc, it used to be infuriating to have to debate that shit in person, never mind online. He keeps getting better each game, and obviously its only 16 games and we don't know if he is going to be a point a game player in this league (probably not), but he has at least shown he is definitely an NHL player. I can't wait to see him get a guy like Lupul or JVR on his wing onceif everyone is healthy again.

I wasn't as huge on him as you appear to be but he has always been one of my favourites since the day we drafted him. I was always fighting with one of my friends over Kadri. He always tried to tell me that Kadri was a bust and I always just laughed and told him the kid is like 20. This friend of mine also happens to be an Avalanche fan and I tried using O'Reilly as an example of someone who took a few seasons to develop. Anyways, I agree with you and i am so happy he's proving the doubters wrong. I'm hoping to buy a Kadri jersey at some point soon.
DunkinDerozan
20 games into the season, currently 5 points above 8th seed and only 3 out of 1st.
Check my Stats
If you told me 3 months ago Kadri would score 30 pts in his first 30 games this year playing 3rd line minutes, I probably would have told you to piss off. Has been my favourite player on the Leafs since he was ridiculously sent back to London out of camp 4 years ago, and I am ridiculously happy he is excelling so far, and pray he keeps it up, even if it means the off-season could be dicey, as he is an RFA. What a fun year so far. This season is a win-win: if we squeak into the playoffs, we're in the playoffs! If not, we go back to the lottery and add another good young piece, or have an attractive asset to potentially make a draft day trade. Our top 6 is shaping up halfway decently, and the core on the back end is pretty sweet too (Gards, Dion, Rielly and Gunnar/Franson, solid top 4). Say what you will about Burkie, he did a decent job here considering there was literally nothing when he got here. I've said all along I wouldn't bet on the playoffs, but after almost a god damn decade, I can't act like I'm not excited we are in the mix with only 18 games to go! The fact our 2nd line (Kadri-Lups-Kule) is producing like they are makes us really dangerous. I don't think their production is like the Grabo-Kule-Mac line was either, this isn't a fluke. Obviously this production is unsustainable, but they are buzzing and their puck possession is awesome. Teams are really going to have to consider putting their best D pairing out against those guys, giving Kessel the 2nd pairing would be huge. Its just nice that for the first time in what feels like forever, we have flexibility, some options, and a somewhat decent future!
DunkinDerozan
I feel the same way! I feel like this team is really shaping up nicely and looks to have a bright future. I think we could still use another good top 6 forward but that isn't a huge concern. Kessel, Kadri, Lupul, Bozak and JVR are all top 6 capable imo. Grabovski and Frattin are arguable at this point. Kulemin is a good fit for third line duties and chipping in a bit of offense. Pretty good top 6/9 there for the most part. The defense is sometimes shaky but i like the future of it. Gardiner is going to be a top pairing defense within the next couple years. Rielly will be on the team within the next few years and i really like his chances of becoming a huge offensive threat. He should hopefully he top 4. Then we have Phaneuf who isnt great but will look much better once hes not the best defenseman on the team. Those three along with a mix of Franson, Gunnar, Holzer, Fraser or probably eventually Blacker and maybe Nilsson will be a good group with good depth. We'll probably plug in a veteran or two in there too at some point. Goaltending is a big question mark right now. Depending on the year, it seems like sometimes you need a great goalie to go far in the playoffs, and sometimes you dont. I like the way Reimer has been this year. He hasnt been spectacular by any means, but hes been good. Scrivens has been okay and has shown some good flashes, especially while Reimer was hurt. Im good with Reimer going forward assuming we stay a defense first type of team. He is not s goalie that can carry a team, but hes good enough as long as he has a good team playing in front of him. And holy [expletive] do i ever want to make the playoffs. It feels weird that theres only 18 games left. Hopefully we dont blow it. I have faith Edited March 21, 2013 by DunkinDerozan
