Owner Real Deal Posted March 1, 2013 Owner Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 http://blacksportsonline.com/home/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Andrew-Bynum-Hair.jpg Andrew Bynum was expected to speak with the media to provide an update about his rehab and conditioning prior to the Philadelphia 76ers’ game Tuesday against the Orlando Magic at the Wells Fargo Center, but did not arrive to the arena in time, according to a team spokesperson. After the game, a Sixers spokesperson said that Andrew Bynum arrived at the Wells Fargo Center at approximately 6:20 p.m., spent the entire game in the locker room, then quickly departed following the game. He was not seen by any news reporters.http://blacksportsonline.com/home/2013/02/andrew-bynum-no-shows-for-press-conference-leaves-arena-immediately-after-the-game Man...this dude is something else. Phightins
In fairness to him, it's not like the team has been very up front with the media regarding his condition either. Awful situation all around. And today, for the first time, he suggested that he might not play this season. So the tiny sliver of hope I had that we'd see him this year is totally gone now. Oh well, maybe it's for the best. Will be a wild offseason for sure. Will define the next 5 years of this team, most likely.

Apparently he is a doctor and should have told the sixers how long it would take for him to be back on the court. In reality it all falls on management for not evaluating his injury implications at the time of the trade. You could blame the lakers if they weren't up front about it I guess, but it is hard to blame them when the sixers weren't forced into the trade. Even if they don't resign him, they still shed Iggy's ugly contract Edited March 1, 2013 by Lkr

Misplaced frustration. Sadly, he will always be a villain here (especially if he leaves this offseason, haha), even though it is not his fault at all. On a different note, maybe I am crazy but I still want Bynum back next gear. Like, really badly. To the point where I'd offer him a much larger contract than most sane people would. That's how badly I want to see a star here to play with Jrue. Blowing the cap space on Josh Smith or the like (and I am 95% sure this is what they will try to do) will just guarantee mediocrity for the near future. Either risk it on Bynum or totally tank for a year or two, IMO. Edited March 2, 2013 by Phightins
