Need4Sheed
Isnt there a clause somewhere that if they dont make the playoffs they get the pick? They were saying on Mike and Mike this morning that the league should step in and give them the 1st rounder since the trade has went so off the wall for them this year. Not sure if that ever happened in the past.
Owner Real Deal Posted March 2, 2013 Owner Report Share Posted March 2, 2013 Pretty sure Philly's pick is protected this year, and they won't make the playoffs unless there's a big push in March (doubt that). The 2013 pick is tied up with a trade involving the Heat, not the Bynum trade.
Dash
2013 first round draft pick to MiamiPhiladelphia's own 2013 1st round pick to Miami (Top-14 Protected in the 2013 Draft, top-14 Protected in 2014 and top-14 protected in the 2015 Draft) If Miami has not yet received a first round pick by 2015, then they will receive Philadelphia's own 2015 and 2016 second round picks. Phightins
If they miss the playoffs they get the pick. So yes, they get the pick.
