Owner Real Deal Posted November 9, 2014 Owner Report Share Posted November 9, 2014 Well, August 2013 was a huge month for me. I bought a house...three bedroom, two bath, den, two-car garage, deck, privacy fence. Altogether, I outbid three others and got the house for $52,000. Also, a few weeks later, I landed a job at a maintenance supply company. My brother was working there, and they were having trouble with some guy out of North Dakota. He was updating their website, and when he put up new pictures of floor scrubbers that we sell, he left a TON of white background on the images (cut them out using Paint, lmao)...and it looked awful. My brother suggested that I come in and do it all right, and three days later, they asked me to keep coming in. That next week, they gave me the "keys" to the server, told me I was full time, and gave me lead marketing. Within the next six months, I was also doing their billing, started purchasing products for them, scheduling gym floor work, and much more. Today, I'm actually shouldering a lot of responsibilities the owners had over the years, which is a great thing because they are in their mid-50's. We sell maintenance supplies, as I said, but we also service and sell machines, sand and refinish gym floors, lay carpet, clean concrete, sell epoxy floors and bathroom stalls, etc. As it stands, we're a $7.5 million a year company with a lot of room to grow. http://4statemaintenance.com/images/floors/accc-small-1.jpg http://4statemaintenance.com/images/floors/accc-small-3.jpg http://4statemaintenance.com/images/floors/accc-small-12.jpg This summer, we refinished (101) and sanded (8) a grand total of 109 gym floors...from elementary schools to colleges, and it led to a $900,000 month in August. Busy, busy.

Dr. Feelgood
I got engaged a little over a year ago to the woman of my dreams in late August of 2013. A few months later, I got promoted at my job. I work for a contracted company called VWR International, onsite at Intel in Oregon. What I was doing, was stocking PPE locations (booties, latex gloves, hairnets, beard covers, glove liners, etc) for Intel employees to use. My new job is working in the FAB directly with the Intel employees, cleaning parts that come out of the tools that make the wafers and microchips that go in most people's computers as well as backfilling the ovens that contain the parts. It's a pretty sweet gig considering my schedule is Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday, 7AM-7PM. I usually work, out of the 12 hour day, between 4-8 hours out of the day. The rest of the day is spent taking extended breaks and lunches. The job came with a 4 dollar raise since I'm now dealing with parts that range from 2k-10k, so we've got to be very careful when moving and cleaning the parts. I now get 3 day weekends guaranteed with a 4 day weekend every other week. It was totally worth giving up my Saturdays. On top of that, whatever holiday falls on my work schedule (like Thanksgiving on Thursday), I've got to work, but I get double pay (regular 12 hours plus 12 hours holiday pay). So I'm actually excited to be working Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Years Eve...all about that money.

DunkinDerozan
So i hope you guys still remember me. I think I was in grade 11 when the forum was shut down and now I'm in my first year of university, taking media studies. I live and go to school in Toronto and absolutely love it. Still love the raptors and was just at the game on friday where they wore the purple throw backs Overall I've grown up a lot over the last couple years. I'm still a kid at 18 years old but I've matured a lot. I can't wait to get back to posting here. I missed this place
Oliver P
Quite a few things have changed in my life, I got the best job I ever had (hope it's gonna last), I'm about to get an apartment in another city, a better one, I don't drink as much as I used to (), even though I still love whiskey and cigars, etc... But I guess the main thing is that I've finally made my dream come true I've finally been to New York City. I was there in June and it was one of the greatest experiences in my life, this city's truly the greatest city ever ! I got only one wish, to get back in NYC ASAP. And I will next year actually, can't wait. Edited November 9, 2014 by Oliver P
ChosenOne
Well my life hasn't changed a whole lot (unlike [expletive]ing Normar lol) but it has changed somewhat. I graduated form UNR and got a job as a Supervisor with UPS. Little over a year later realized that while the money was good it wasn't what i wanted to do for the rest of my life so I quit and decided to start studying for the GRE to get into the MBA program at UNR. Start next Spring,

Force
Whattup fam? Its been a while eh? Great to see this site back up with most of the similar faces…it’s crazy how I was in 6th grade when I joined and I’m 3rd year university now. I’m currently taking finance and econ at UWO…also a part time server and building my network marketing business. A lot of changes and wild stories have occurred but they’d take way too long to type and aren’t as nearly as life changing as others that have been posted already. Hope everyone been doing great as well and didn’t miss me too much *looks as smitty*

GamerGuy
I've moved a couple of times, went from working at a chiropractor's office to freelance, then two months ago I got a job as a graphic designer for a media/advertising company in Bakersfield. About a week ago we had a big client LOVE the logo design I did for them, really sealed the deal on that account. That was pretty cool. Went through about 3 different relationships, none of them panned out but that's OK...I feel like I'm in a good spot right now. Looking at the possibility of becoming a long term missionary within the next year or two. Feel like my life has been heading toward that goal over the past couple of years.

Lkr
I transferred from FSU to UCF. I've been doing really poorly in school since. Shits been getting better in the past few months though. I've had two jobs since the start of summer, got a new car and things have been generally good. I've honestly been putting a lot of thought into switching majors and getting into sports journalism. I'm just so burned out on math. All of my classes are just theorems and it flies over my head. I've lost about 20 pounds since the start of the summer and I'm in the best shape I have ever been in. I don't spend near as much time on the Internet anymore. It's just boring now tbh. I don't enjoy games anymore either minus FIFA. You guys hear about the FSU shooting? Shits nuts, I spent days of my life in Strozier. There was a guy that made a post on reddit about how he was shot at but his books stopped the bullet. That was one of my roommates freshman year and he is a good friend of mine. That was some crazy news to see.
Check my Stats
I interned for MLSE last year in the fall last year... as soon as I left in December, the Raptors have since been one of the NBA's best teams. I give Masai all the credit in the world, but I credit myself for changing the culture and turning that organization around for the time being. You're welcome, Raptor fans.
