Phightins
That is true that is a horrible call. However they didn't have the "war room" in Toronto back then, where virtually every camera angle imaginable is available. And they STILL managed to get tonight's call wrong. Phightins
Also...Ray Emery will have a new mask when he returns. Sick. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i197/AchsiaShadowweaver/EMERYMASK2.jpghttp://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i197/AchsiaShadowweaver/EMERYMASK1.jpghttp://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i197/AchsiaShadowweaver/EMERYBACK.jpg I think he has Bernie Parent, Pelle Lindbergh, and Ron Hextall on there. Personally my favorite part is the back.
fly3rs18
the announcer in ecns video is possibly the most boring announcer ive ever heard. and that helmet is awesome. so much better then his boxer masks, which is saying a lot

Phightins
Emery sent to the Phantoms so he could play in their game tonight for rehab purposes, and he will be back with the Flyers tomorrow. Michael Leighton will start again tonight. I'd say the writing is on the wall for Boucher...

Phightins
The NHL is investigating Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh for not sending all available camera angles to league headquarters in Toronto for Simon Gagne’s apparent goal that was under review against the Penguins last Thursday, league spokesman Gary Meagher confirmed to the Daily News. FSN Pittsburgh, who had the game’s only video feed, sent all of the camera angles of the replay except the one that clearly showed the puck over the goal line. Comcast SportsNet elected to not use their own video feed during the game, one CSN employee said on Monday. CSN would have been able to send their own replays to the NHL's War Room in Toronto if they had used their own feed. "Hockey Operations did not have a definitive replay that showed the puck in the net - and weren't aware that one existed - until after they made their ruling," said John Dellapina, another NHL spokesman. "Once the puck dropped, their ruling became permanent." Video of the angle in question is shown below. It is not yet clear whether FSN Pittsburgh purposely excluded the angle or it was an unintentional oversight, though one Penguins announcer can be heard saying “we saved that one” on the broadcast. A message left for FSN Pittsburgh after business hours on Monday has not yet been returned. The play was ruled no-goal by officials for “inconclusive evidence." The non-goal, which wound up not impacting the 7-4 final score, would have given the Flyers a 6-3 lead heading into the second intermission. Coincidentally, the game was the second most watched Penguins regular season telecast ever. The NHL has given no indication as to length of the investigation or what penalties may come of it. Said Meagher: "It's a matter between the League, the Penguins and FSN that will be handled internally." http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/NHL_investigating_FSN_Pittsburgh.html At least the Flyers still won big. Had this wound up a one goal game or something, this would be a huge story.
BasX
I have no idea what a penalty for this would be.
fly3rs18
they better be fined or something for not sending that replay. that is absolute [expletive], just lucky that it didnt affect the outcome of the game. the nhl has to make sure this doesnt happen again, because it can really mess up the game if teams start doing this
Check my Stats
The Flyers have screwed me over on pro-line more than any other team I have bet on. When I think they will win, they lose, I bet against them, they win. Douchebags IMO.
Phightins
To follow up on the Gagne "review-gate" incident, I think it is horrible that the NHL is keeping their investigation "under wraps". Well Gary Bettman is in bed with the Penguins so I guess it should not surprise me, but nonetheless it is a joke. This is a big big thing, IMO. Some guy said it on the radio last night and it's so true, but this really makes the NHL look like a "Mickey Mouse league". The Penguins should forfeit a draft pick, that is how big a deal I think this is. And with the way they are handling the Alex Burrows/Stephane Auger incident as well, they have really done a number on their credibility this week (if it was possible for it to get much worse). Phightins
Tonight's game should be interesting. The Maple Leafs called up another goon who cannot play (as if they didn't have enough) and they clearly want revenge on Dan Carcillo for that throat slashing thing. Phightins
I know people say the Flyers "goon it up" so this may fall on deaf ears, but the Maple Leafs are a [expletive]ing dirty team. Colton Orr in particular.

Phightins
On the Hotstove, they said Dallas is looking to deal Marty Turco. Think Flyers will be interested? Nope. We have too many goalies as it is. And after seeing Turco play the last few weeks, he'd honestly be #4 on our depth chart right now haha. Phightins
I didn't think Emery was too bad to be honest. He had some rebound control problems in the first period which I guess is normal for a guy making his first start in a month and a half. Also it didn't help that his first action was against arguably the top offense in the NHL. But 4 of the 5 goals were not his fault. The last one was an Ovechkin penalty shot, so enough said there. Also Matt Carle made one of the dumbest blind passes I have ever seen on a power play that allowed Brooks Laich to walk right in on Emery and he had no chance. Also it doesn't help that Oskars Bartulis and Braydon Coburn have essentially been replaced by revolving doors. I wonder what kind of value Braydon Coburn has around the league right now, he might be their best trade chip come deadline time.
Phightins
Lol the Flyers are auctioning off the chance to sit courtside at the Sixers/Lakers game next week with Scott Hartnell and Arron Asham. I will already be at that game with "Diesel", however. That would be pretty freaking awesome though.
