Phightins
Brodeur was [expletive]in incredible too. If he is out of the equation, Flyers win by 3 or 4 goals.
fly3rs18
i got to a restaurant to see the last 5 minutes and overtime and the flyers were playing very well. just getting pucks on net and playing good DÂ Â Â but my tickets are bought for game 5, i cant wait!! Phightins
The Flyers dominated the 3rd period and OT. It was the best 20+ minutes of hockey this team has played in months.

Phightins
Carter and Gagne are hurt pretty bad apparently. [expletive]. Jeff Carter with a severe limp in the locker room. Can't say it doesn't hurt. Trying to find out about Simon Gagne. One source tells me of Gagne's injury, "It doesn't look good." John Boruk
Phightins
Fractured toe for Gagne. Who knows if he'll be able to go on Thursday. Carter should be fine. Phew
BasX
I missed most of the game, English exam, saw 4-1 and just ignored everything else since there was 50 seconds left. Let's grab the series in Jersey.
Phightins
Great...Carter and Gagne both out tomorrow night.
Phightins
[expletive], news just keeps getting better... Simon Gagne will be out for at least 3 weeks, and Jeff Carter is probably out for the remainder of the playoffs.
fly3rs18
ugh. well lets just knock the devils out. i didnt think the flyers would make the playoffs, so knocking the rangers out of the playoffs, and beating the devils in the first round is an amazing offseason.  and if we win in NJ, then we would play washington. and i dont know if healthy flyers could beat them in a series
Phightins
Lines tonight: Carcillo-Richards-LaliberteHartnell-Briere-Leinovan Riemsdyk-Giroux-AshamPowe-Betts-Laperriere  I am glad they did not split up the Giroux line. I thought they might move Giroux up to take Carter's spot, but it makes more sense to just slide Briere over from wing to center and throw Leino onto the wing, so it won't kill the chemistry. Similarly, the Richards line stays in tact too, with Laliberte simply taking Gagne's spot. Laliberte is a right handed shot so I am guessing Carcillo will move to left wing. I expect to see the Giroux line get a lot more ice time tonight. They have been the best line so far this series.
fly3rs18
yeah, giroux is gonna get a lot of play time tonight. i doubt these lines last more then a period though. stevens will probably be switching things around pretty often EDIT- oh wow, i just said stevens Edited April 22, 2010 by fly3rs18

Giroux JVR and Asham seem to be really good together, and obviously I don't see many other options for that 4th line. If Laliberte sucks, I guess they could move him down there and put Powe somewhere else, but other than that I don't know.
Phightins
Brian Boucher will be starting by Christmas IMO. Well, you sure called that, haha. Missed by a couple months but close enough.
Phightins
Onto round 2! Hoping Montreal can pull off the miracle, but it's looking like we'll get the Capitals.
fly3rs18
devils fans suck. first off they couldnt even sell out a playoff game. i payed under ticket value (flyers playoff tickets are always well over ticket value). me and my friend were wearing flyers shirts, the drunk devils fans behind us ripped on us for a little bit, but before the end of the first period they were just yelling at the devils players instead (it was hilarious though). also as it was nearing the end of the game they started arguing with each other and almost started a fight between devils fans. this is something that doesnt even happen in philly. i have been to many philly sporting events and i can not remember one single situation of a fan trying to fight another flyers fan  but overall the stadium was pretty quiet from the start of the game. the stadium itself if very open which makes it a bit more quiet then other stadiums such as philly, but its more of the fans. A lot of Devils fans (I know from living in prime time Devils area) are casual fruits who don't know much about hockey... Just that the Devils are good, so they'll emptily root for them. Phightins
Simon Gagne (broken toe) is making a rapid recovery and could skate as soon as Fri.   This combined with the Ryan Howard extension = good day.
