Phightins
Also I wonder how much more Penguin [expletive] Darren Eliot could possibly slurp. Edited December 16, 2009 by Phightins
EastCoastNiner
I swear they must have magnets on their sticks or something. Seriously EVERY rebound around the net is going right to one of their sticks. I actually don't think the Flyers are playing that bad, they are just getting none of the bounces. At least they are trying to goon it up......... Edited December 16, 2009 by EastCoastNiner
Phightins
At least they are trying to goon it up......... I forgot to congratulate the Boston Bruins on joining the New York Islanders as the only teams to lose to this group of no good "goons" in the past month. But that was a joke. I like how Fedotenko takes a run at Carcillo and only gets a 2 minute minor. If that's the other way around and it's Carcillo boarding Fedotenko, it's a game misconduct and a suspension. This league is a joke. Edited December 16, 2009 by Phightins
Phightins
Some good news... Blair Betts should be back in the lineup tomorrow night, and Darroll Powe and Simon Gagne should be back on Saturday.
Lone Wolf
Damn! 3 fights in one game? Why can't the Wild have a rivalry like the Flyers and Penguins?
Phightins
Damn! 3 fights in one game? Why can't the Wild have a rivalry like the Flyers and Penguins? They literally were back-to-back-to-back. Three consecutive faceoffs.
EastCoastNiner
I'm just wondering how Jeff Carter likes banging Scott Hartnell's wife? That team is in a downwards spiral, but they should pick it up.
Phightins
I'm just wondering how Jeff Carter likes banging Scott Hartnell's wife? That team is in a downwards spiral, but they should pick it up. I'd bang Scott Hartnell's wife. But on a serious, slightly related note, it looks like Riley Cote might be separating from his wife. I know there are quite a few local girls who get passed around that locker room (including a teacher from where I went to high school) so I am seriously wondering if there is any connection. Wow, I know way too much about this stuff, I am suck a stalker. Also I should add that it sucks a lot. I know Riley Cote is a great dude and his wife is great too apparently. I know they are involved in the community a great deal and they seem like really good people. So I don't mean to sound like an [expletive] if it turns out that this isn't really the case. Phightins
It is unbelievable how many calls the Pittsburgh Penguins get (and Sidney Crosby in particular).
Phightins
Flyers lose in a shoot out on a pretty flukey goal. Pretty lame, Flyers played a good game and deserved better than that. Officiating was absolutely horrible, but I guess that is to be expected when you play the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Phightins
So [expletive]ing gay. I have never seen a team underachieve this much. I hope the players aren't too excited about playing in the Winter Classic because once the trade freeze ends not one of them is safe. Phightins
Tonight's game should be interesting. The Panthers basically came out and said they will have a bulls eye on Mike Richards and will seek "revenge" for the hit on David Booth in October. They also called up two goons from the AHL yesterday. Coincidence? I think not.
Phightins
Wow. That is all I have to say. I attended the 8-2 loss to Washington a couple weeks ago and I attended tonight as well. Honestly the 8-2 game was more bearable to watch than tonight. This is a disgraceful waste of talent.
BasX
I know I shouldn't but I've stopped caring. This team is depressing, and I just saw my football team to KC, Oakland, and Cleveland and this still hurts me more.
Phightins
http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/20091224_Rumor_enrages_Hartnell_and_Carter.html Figured it was a matter of time until the team said something about this.

Phightins
Maple Leafs "gooning it up" more than I've ever seen the Flyers do it this year. For ECN.
Phightins
Also, I am liking Dan Carcillo more and more with each passing game.
EastCoastNiner
Maple Leafs "gooning it up" more than I've ever seen the Flyers do it this year. For ECN. It doesn't surprised me because they probably have the most goons in the NHL. I'm guessing Mike Komisarkik has been acting real tough picking on small players that can still kick his [expletive], but will hide behind a ref and try and act tough when someone big comes after him. This is one of my favorite fights of all-time.
Phightins
Komisarek didn't play. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zLjcYwIk0Q Lol @ Carcillo. Even though he lost the fight lol @ the hook em horns. I love the bitter Toronto announcers as well. But he made up for it with this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtcsHbpcNMs

Phightins
Michael Leighton is starting his 8th consecutive game tonight. It will be interesting to see how they handle this when Ray Emery comes back on Saturday night. I am hearing they might carry three goaltenders until Ryan Parent is ready to return to the lineup, at which point they'd obviously have to get rid of one of these guys. Leighton has a better cap hit, but he also has a two way contract which Brian Boucher does not, so Boucher would have to clear waivers. Phightins
Nice win. However, the Gagne "no-goal" might be the worst botched review I have ever seen. Inconclusive evidence my [expletive]. When will common sense count as conclusive evidence?

Inconclusive evidence my [expletive]. When will common sense count as conclusive evidence? That was a goal and a half, but here is the worst call I have EVER seen in the NHL. Not only did he throw the puck "in" the net, the puck never crossed the line. .
