Owner Real Deal Posted March 4, 2015 Owner Report Share Posted March 4, 2015 Steph Curry should get it. Golden State could reach the Finals this year, but only on his shoulders.

ChosenOne
Curry will get it..but i think Harden deserves it more simply due to the injuries the Rockets have endured and yet have managed to remain amongst the top team in the league. FEAR THE BEARD [expletive]ES!!!!!!
?QuestionMark?
Stephen Curry or Russell Westbrook. For the simple fact that they're deserving and more importantly....I dislike every one else you mentioned.
Dr. Feelgood
Real talk, it's a race between Curry and Harden. And it's a tough choice too. You have Curry, who is [expletive]ing shooting the lights out and helping his team to the best record in the league. He can dominate games so easily, mainly late in games, with efficiency too. During the game against my Blazers, it went back and fourth, exchanging double digit comebacks and lead changes. Then all of a sudden, Curry couldn't miss. From anywhere on the court. Just took over in the last 2 minutes of the game. He's too good, breaking his own 3 point record. He's easily going to pass Miller and Allen as all time 3 point shooter, unless he gets struck down with injury after injury (knock on wood). Then you have Harden, whom I can not [expletive]ing stand at all. He plays god awful defense, flops, and flails his arms to get to the free throw line. But it's because of him that the Rockets (were) the 3rd seed in an incredibly stacked Western Conference. I honestly believe that, if it were James Harden out with injury instead of Dwight Howard, and the Rockets were relying on Howard to lead them, they'd be fighting for the 8th seed with the Thunder and Pelicans. Harden's lack of defense is easily overshadowed by his great offensive skills and ability to sell getting fouled (even if he doesn't get fouled). The Rockets are fighting for the 3rd seed in the West because of him. As for LeBron and Westbrook. I also can't stand Westbrook either, do not like him at all...he's a hell of a player for sure and has the talent, but I don't put him in the same conversation as Harden or Curry, simply because the Thunder aren't in the Playoffs right now and are on the verge of missing them all together. Harsh? Probably, but it's my opinion. LeBron is playing fantastic ball, but it's a no from me. No explanation needed.
His Greatness
i think currys the easy answer but i feel like hardens done more for his team and thus more valuable. and thats not a slight on curry, it's more they both had winning, spectacular seasons but harden had to carry a bigger load
Oliver P
My vote goes to Curry. Although you definitely can't go wrong with Harden and LeBron, or to a lesser extent Westbrook and Davis. But the fact is that Curry is the best player of the best team, so he definitely should get it. Besides, even if I understand the "if the Rockets were so good despite their injuries it's because of Harden" argument, I at the same time don't fully agree with it. I mean can Curry be blamed because his teammate were healthier than Harden's ? Seems a bit unfair to me. And there is also absolutely no doubt that the Warriors wouldn't have been as good without Curry. He's had an unbelievable season, hitting shots that even his coach didn't think he could make. And he's also a better defender than Harden (not that hard to be a better defender than James but...). If Curry doesn't get the MVP he will have a bitter taste in his mouth and it would be totally understandable. We have five great MVP contenders this year, but there is no doubt in my mind that Curry is a bit more deserving than the other five. Legacy
It's Curry. Leads the league in real plus/minus. The team is drastically different without him on the court. I've watched every single Warriors game this year and a handful of Rockets games too. To the national media, the Warriors bench and supporting cast is amazing. In reality, it's overrated. Thompson has been inconsistent, Green isn't a reliable scorer, Barnes sucks, Bogut can't score like most centers in the league. Warriors also swept the Rockets in the regular season, which should make Curry's case stronger. And 67 wins in the West and to dominate the way Golden State has, I can't see how it's not Curry.
