The Goods
Jason Kidd enters free agency as an elder statesman of the NBA and several teams will be interested in him, though only in the short term. "Anybody would take Jason Kidd," one Western Conference personnel director says. "It's a matter of how much for how long. "He's not at the Karl Malone-Gary Payton one-year-deal stage yet," the personnel director says. "His physical skills have declined, but he's not anywhere near that. He's still a solid starter right now. Basketball IQ doesn't go away." http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...ear_deal_stage/
OldChili
I hope he doesn't end up on the Lakers. We're all screwed if that happens.
Universe
He should be after the ring rather than the money but he isn't.
Klashnekoff
Even if he joins the Lakers the Spurs are still the team to beat in the West. People seem to forget how deadly Duncan, Parker and Ginobilli were, now they have Jefferson, Mason and Blair filling in needed spots, they have no empty spots on that roster .. they are loaded and more talented the the Lakers are. OldChili
Even without Kidd, the Lakers are still the better team than the Spurs in my opinion.

The Lakers have owned the Spurs in the past two years. The Lakers did just fine in 08 playoffs against the Spurs. If the Lakers get Jason Kidd, to say the Spurs are better, is absolute bull[expletive].
