The Goods
Demar DeRozan via Twitter I'm thinking about doing the dunk contest this season. Come up with dunks for me. Post them on YouTube. I will select the best and do them.

Warren2ThaG
That'd be sweet if he makes it. Rookie winning it too! But LBJ is coming hardddddd!
Check my Stats
All he has to do is put on a VC jersey, point to VC in the crowd and do one of his signature dunks from the competition when VC was in it. Also I saw a video of Demar landing in TO, he is apparently looking forward to the snow lol... hopefully he is being sincere about how excited he is to be in Toronto and that it's not all just a front for when he leaves in 4 years once he is good. KurbyFX
BC should realize Euros aren't working and that Raptors or any team for that matter will never duplicate the European success like the Spurs.
Doc
YES! Welcome Heir Canada. Ahh I cannot wait. I am so excited for this season. I kinda want him to score a 36, so they can callhim 36 DD.

Euros are the only ones who WANT to be here though lol, most of the traditional American stars want/would want to gtfo after 4/5 years once their rookie year is done. Demar must want to be here, because BC wouldn't have taken him otherwise which is a good thing.

Demar must want to be here, because BC wouldn't have taken him otherwise which is a good thing. That is becase the Raptors, for the most part, have been a below average to bad franchise. They had that brief stint of being an upper echelon team in the East during Vince Carter's best years as a Raptor, but other than that the Raptors have, for the most part, been irrelevant when it comes to the East. If the Raptors were a good team then players will come here. They have historically been a poor team so that doesn't help when trying to draw big name free agents to come here. Yeah playing in Canada may have something to do with it, in fact it does have something to do with it, but if the Raptors were a top team in the league nobody would give a crap about coming to Toronto if it means that they have a chance to do something special (unless they are really stubborn people that are anti-Canadian in every sense of the word lol). Klashnekoff
Kid will never reach VC status though .. he can jump just under par from VC but he's pretty much in my eyes a cheap mans VC..

Add to that the tax complications as well as the exchange rate, this is just not a desirable destination. But I think it has to do with a preconceived idea of all people that Toronto is a crummy place, when it's not, anyone who has been here has had nothing but good to say about the city, sure the weather can get bad in the winter but who cares? Half of the season you're on the road and hardly even in town, you're at home in the Summer. Anyways, I agree, the only way that Toronto can become a desirable place is to establish themselves as a good team, but that won't be possible as long as people don't want to be here in the first place. Building a team in Toronto(or LAC, Memphis etc) is A LOT harder than any other franchise in the league, that is why a lot of the criticism of BC is unfair, he has to consider if the player he is getting will be here long term. Would Gay want to be here this time next year? Aldy? Roy? At least we know Bargs wants to be here and isn't looking to jump ship in 2010. moeroadkill
shouldnt he be focusing on playing basketball not what neat dunks he can do?
DWhiTex34
DeRozan was a great pick by Raptors. Brings some excitement and definitely could be the star wing player that they desperately need.
TheNextBestThing
shouldnt he be focusing on playing basketball not what neat dunks he can do? Do the Raptors look like a good team to you? Winning games would be preferable, but if that can't happen, you may as well look for some way to boost your team's...what's the word...presence. Demar has a better shot at winning the dunk comp than Toronto does at winning games.

Celtics3420
I'm hoping he's not another "Gerald Green" for Toronto's sake.
Sun Tzu
DeRozan is going to be a sick dunker, lets just hope if he is in the dunk contest that he has some creative mind blowing dunks to show us.
DWhiTex34
I'm hoping he's not another "Gerald Green" for Toronto's sake. Definitely not. He has 10 fingers and not 9 and a half.
