Toronto @ Cleveland

Verajao's TBD, but even then I don't think we'll lose coming off a loss. THAT IS if we play LeBron and Co. If the resting begins now, then screw it, and the playoffs are in sight.

Though I do wanna face this team and not the Bobcats, so playing LeBron for this one and then in Chicago and try to win both so we face Toronto in the playoffs. I don't wanna face Chicago or Charlotte.

If you want to see the Cavs play the Raptors in the first round, wouldn't it make more sense to rest your starters tonight, hope that the Raptors win (I say hope because the Cavs bench can probably beat Toronto) tonight and play the starters against Chicago? That way the Raptors would get an extra game up on Chicago, which could potentially make things very difficult for the Bulls considering Toronto has the tie breaker between the two teams.

Lets face it, the top 7 seeds are already determined. Charlotte, Milwaukee and Miami may jockey for position a bit, but all 3 of them are in the playoffs. Toronto isn't going to be making up 2 games on the Bobcats when you consider that the Raptors still have to play Cleveland (rest or no rest, still a likely loss), Boston and Atlanta. The only two games on paper that the Raptors look like they should win are the Piston and Knick games which would put them at 2-4 during their final 6 games. The 7th seed isn't going to happen.

I don't know though, if you want to play the Raptors in the first round, I just think it would make more sense to hope for a Raptors win (even that would put them at 3-3 most likely which still wouldn't be enough to surpass the Bobcats unless they absolutely choke) tonight and beat Chicago to give the Raptors an extra game advantage over the Bulls. Neither of the two are going to catch Charlotte so who really cares about that point.

I want the Raptors to lose so there is a better chance of us not facing Charlotte. Over five games left, I'd say Charlotte's two game lead isn't that set.

You honestly think that the Raptors are capable of passing the Bobcats, who have a 2 game advantage over the Raptors, when they have to play Boston, Atlanta and Chicago and 3 out of the 6 on the road, where the Raptors are terrible? Meanwhile, Charlotte plays 1 team over .500 in their next 6 games, and that one team is at home against Atlanta who have been struggling as of late.

Charlotte's two game lead over the Raptors is 99% set in stone. The Raptors are going to finish the season 3-3 at best, and a 41-41 record. Charlotte is currently at 40-36, which would mean that they would need to go 2-4 to ensure the 7th seed. They play Detroit and New Jersey. Those are basically two guarnteed wins, and even if they blow one of those, they will make up for it with a win against either Houston, New Orlenas or Chicago.

The Raptors chances of blowing the 8th seed is about 100X more likely than them catching the Bobcats.

Raptors announcers just said that Boston is heading to Cleveland Clinic (or something like that) for a CAT scan. They figure it is either a broken nose or orbital bone, although that is speculation on their part (a fair speculation in my opinion). Looks like the Raptors are going to be without Bosh for the rest of the game, and possibly tomorrows game.

In other words, it is looking very likely that the Raptors season may be over, assuming Bosh misses time.

Wow, tough break. You just knew it was broken, though.

I'm not sure if the Raptors are going to hold onto that eighth. They really needed to win this game, somehow, and if Bosh is going to miss tomorrow's game as well, that's a bad deal.

Yeah, for sure. On another message board people were trying to say it was just a cut and he would go to the back and get stiched up, but once I saw the blood pouring down, dripping all over the floor and seeing the white towel turn almost completely red when he moved it away from his face, I knew something was broken. The only question was whether or not it was a broken nose or a broken orbital bone.

I didn't think that they would hold onto the 8th even with Bosh in the lineup, but if Bosh misses any sort of time the Raptors have almost no chance to hold onto the 8th seed with Chicago getting healthy.

Think hel risk playing through a broken bone?

It is hard to speculate without knowing the severity of the injury, but if it is just your typical broken nose then I can see him missing the game against the Celtics tomorrow, but playing out the rest of the season with a mask.

If Bosh is cleared to play, he will. No doubt about that.

Antoine Wright limped back to the locker room during the 2nd quarter with what looked to be a knee/ankle injury well.

So the Raptors injury tally looks like this:

Bosh - broken nose/oribtal bone (presumed)

Wright - strained knee/ankle sprain (presumed)

Turkoglu - missing heart

Bargnani - missing balls

At least Jack is stepping up and putting the team on his back without Bosh. I love the way that he elevates his game when the team needs him the most. It is too bad that he has to share minutes with a clearly inferior player in Jose Calderon.

EDIT: Just read that Wright was back on the bench before the half was over.

LMAO.

A broken nose is tough to play with. Feels like your nose weighs 30 pounds, and you get headaches quickly.

LeBron with a double double. Third quarter and only a few assists away from season high. For a team that has nothing to play for, this is pretty damn inspiring.

And for people who think Verajao has little impact. He came into the game and the first two possessions he got two wide open layups.

Bosh is probably gonna have to play with a mask the rest of the season.

Cleveland had 15 assists on 15 made field goals during that 3rd quarter. They were absolutely picking the Raptors apart with their passing. It was definitely very enjoyable to watch.

Cleveland is basically toying with the Raptors right now though. Every single time the Raptors get the lead down to the 5-7 point range, Cleveland goes on a mini run of their own and increases it back up to 11-13 points. They don't even look like they are even trying out there, yet they have still been up by around 10 points for the majority of the game.

Jack and Johnson are the only reason why the Raptors are even remotely in this game though. I couldn't imagine how painful this game would be to watch if these two weren't playing.

I really wish that the Raptors didn't let go of Anthony Parker. The saddest thing of all is that Parker would be the Raptors best wing player and he would cost a third of the price that Turkoglu is being paid. I just love the way that he plays the game.

It is looking very likely that the Raptors and Bulls will be tied for the 8th seed after tonight, and that the Bobcats will be up 3 games over the Raptors.

He must've been doing it all year. On pace for most assists by a forward ever!

He's taken us to the finals, he's won the MVP, I think 7 years in I can trust he's not a stats guy.

He remind us to check his stats though. lol
