11-2 with a 2. something ERA is really good.

I know its really good. Win/Loss totals arent the best way of determining how good someone is. Dice-K was 18-3 last year with a 2 something ERA, does that mean hes on Lincecums level? Not even close. Lincecum gets a ridiculous amount of strikeouts, and has unhittable stuff. Nobody is as good as him.

I didn't mean he was as good as him, but they are in the same ballpark, Lincecum of course edges him because he had a streak of games where he pitched every inning and pretty much shout out his opponent. JJ, when healthy, has been a really good pitcher, he will probably leave us when we have to pay him because we are cheap, but then you will see his name mentioned in the top 5 more often.

Tim Lincincum is a very good pitcher, but for you to say he is clearly the best is stupid, and he is not the best pitcher in the MLB.

Have him come to the AL East, and he can add at least 1.00+ to his ERA.

He plays in the NL West for crying out loud.

He is very good, and is one of the best, but there are better pitchers than him.

Anyways, the answer is Edwin Jackson.

Name the pitchers you think are better, ECN.

Actually, now that I think about it, Tim Lincincum isn't even the best pitcher in his own divsion.

Anyways, just the pitchers that I think are definitely better are:

Roy Halladay

Johan Santana

Dan Harren

And, strong cases can be made for Josh Beckett, Cliff Lee, C.C. Sabathia, and some others.

Halladay is getting old, and imo, Lincecum is better. The only real competition for him.

Santana?

Haren? He's like 11-7. Sure his team sucks, but the Giants sucked last season and Lincecum went 18-3.

Actually now that I think about it he might be a little overrated. Forgot that he pitches in the NL West. And just the national league in general. And the park he plays in. Halladay might be better. Haren is definitely not better though.

Dan Harren should have started the All-Star Game.

Anyways, Roy Halladay is a work-horse, and has to pitch against three of the elite teams in the MLB, the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, and Tampa Bay Rays, all of whom are in the AL East.

Johan Santana is still a very good pitcher.

I'm not even going to say that Josh Beckett is better, but I could build a very good case for him, which would rely heavily on post-season performance, which is EXTREMELY important.

Haren was the best pitcher at the time of the all star game, he isnt anymore though. Hes sucked ever since then.

And I agree with the postseason part with Beckett, I think its very important. He still has to do it in the regular season though. It seems like when he wants to he just turns it on, like the other night in New York.

NL West isn't even bad lmao.

Yeah they are besides the Dodgers there arent really anyone in the NLW that is good offensively. And if your comparing it to the Offenses in the AL east its no contest.

I know that I use the whole, "Well, this team plays in the NL West" or "This player plays in the NL West" line a lot, and it may be a little unfair, but I do feel that it does make a huge difference.

I know that Tim Lincincum is a very good pitcher, but I am interested in seeing how he would do facing the line-ups of the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox(when they aren't sucking dick), and the Tampa Bay Rays.

Even Toronto and Baltimore have pretty good offenses, but I would just like to see how he would perform against the AL East in particular.

And, I don't watch to nit-pick, but I just checked Tim Lincincum's "Game Log", and it does appear that he does worse against the better teams, which makes sense, but he didn't do too well against most of the contending teams except for the St. Louis Cardinals one night, and the Philadelphia Phillies last week.

Again, I feel that he is one of the best pitchers, and maybe the best, but it's not clear cut.

3rd in runs, 3rd in OPB, 2nd in slugging, 2nd in OPS. When will it get through yours and ECN's thick heads that the Rockies are legit? NL's best record by like 5 games, #1 in the wild card, and #2 in the wild card. Why does the NL West suck?

Oh, the only reason they suck is because they play in a [expletive]ty division. If it's so [expletive]ty, why are those three teams so good?
