Tim Lincincum is a very good pitcher, but for you to say he is clearly the best is stupid, and he is not the best pitcher in the MLB.

Have him come to the AL East, and he can add at least 1.00+ to his ERA.

He plays in the NL West for crying out loud.

He is very good, and is one of the best, but there are better pitchers than him.

Anyways, the answer is Edwin Jackson.

I think we all know that you'd be the best pitcher in the majors, because you'd play for an AL East team and therefore you must be the best.

I said Edwin Jackson, he has the best stuff IMO and has (I think) the lowest ERA of the bunch.

You're just mad that not everyone, or even most people for your information, think that Tim Lincincum is the best pitcher in the MLB.

Most people will tell you Roy Halladay is better, and well....he is.

Honestly, I've heard mostly from people where I am (west coast) that Tim Lincecum is the best pitcher in the bigs. That doesn't matter to me though, so what if he's second by a few people's opinion. Matt Cain is a legitimate top 10 guy, and with that 1-2 punch nobody has a better one.

The fact that you think that Josh Beckett is even on the same page is ridiculous. As much as I love Jon Lester, he's not Matt Cain level either. They're both worse than the corresponding starter.

Your whole "This team is better, without a doubt" thing is dumb too, Schilling is a great pitcher, but he's not a good one now. He has greatness in his career, but none's left in his arm.

GTFO.

You have a reading comprehension problem then becuase I wasn't using Curt Shilling as an example with his ability today, but when he was in the league a few years ago, hence the part where I said I was using him to make my point.

Oh well then I want Tim Lincecum, Cliff Lee, CC Sabathia and Roy Halladay all 2 years from now, when they'll all have playoff experience except for Halladay, your pick for the "best pitcher in the MLB."

That fair? Not really, stupid argument. I didn't realize that skipping a pointless post beyond reading the names made me a challenged reader.

Again, you have a reading comprehension problem.

The point was that post-season experience matters, and your post actually made no sense at all.

Seriously, that post made no sense at all.

Wait til next year, and you'll be able to see all of these guys (minus Halladay) with playoff experience. Do you understand that?

And I disagree. Post season experience doesn't make you a better pitcher, it helps you handle situations better. That is, unless it's bad experience.

Playoff wins is what matters, which I think is what you meant, but your writing problem I guess outdoes my reading comprehension problem?

I don't get it. You say something that's out on a limb, then tell me I have trouble understanding what I'm reading. That's really an intelligent argument.

Have fun replying to this, I won't see it.

If all of those players make the playoffs and pitch well, then it's a completely different story, but they haven't been there yet, and you don't know that they will be there, so it doesn't make much sense saying that at all.
