Flight
If the Rays pick it up they will be, but until then I think it's Angels, then Yankees, then Red Sox, then Rays.
EastCoastNiner
At this moment in time, they are probably the best or second best along with the new York Yankees.
kingfish
This is crazy listen to this Angels rolling a .300 gameAugust 18, 2009 | 3:06 pm The Angels' starting lineup for tonight's game against the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field features eight hitters who are batting .300 or above -- Chone Figgins (.310), Bobby Abreu (.309), Juan Rivera (.314), Vladimir Guerrero (.306), Kendry Morales (.304), Torii Hunter (.306), Maicer Izturis (.301) and Erick Aybar (.311). The only sub-.300 hitter is in the eighth spot, where catcher/slacker Mike Napoli is batting only.297. Of course, Napoli also has 16 home runs and 45 runs batted in, so he's not that much of a slouch. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, you have to go all the way back to the 1930 New York Giants and St. Louis Cardinals to find lineups in which each player had at least a .300 average with 200 at-bats or more. LA Times Angels lineup as of right now Figgins - .310, 93 runs scored, 37 stolen bases, .403 OBPAbreu - .313, 11 home runs, 80 RBIs, 25 stolen bases, .406 OBPRivera - .312, 19 home runs, 67 RBIs, .519 SLG%Guerrero - .309, 10 home runs (injured for a while)Morales - .304, 26 home runs, 76 RBIs, .579 SLG%Hunter - .305, 17 home runs, 67 RBIs (injured for a while)Izturis - .300, 7 home rus, 10 stolen basesNapoli - .300, 16 home runs, 45 RBIs, .906 OPSAybar - .313, 5 home runs, 11 stolen bases That lineup is crazy! Flash
The Yankees and Angels are interchangeable IMO. The Yankees would have monster numbers no matter where they play so let's just get that straight. Both teams are raking right now.

Both teams are raking right now. Well, it depends on what your definition of "monster" numbers are becuase they would be down at least a couple of rankings in the runs scored if they didn't play in Williamsport, so let's just get that straight. Diesel
Too bad the Angels are still going to get owned in the playoffs.
kingfish
Nahh the Yankees arent as good. Angels have scored 679 (1st in MLB) compared to the Yankees 664. NOT TO MENTION that launching pad the Yankees play in, so their numbers are highly inflated. Angels batting average is also 13 points higher then the Yankees.
