Zolor23 Posted August 12, 2009 Report Share Posted August 12, 2009 (edited) NEW YORK—Boston's Kevin Youkilis and Detroit pitcher Rick Porcello were suspended for five games each Wednesday and fined by Major League Baseball for their roles in a benches-clearing confrontation. The pair asked the players' union to appeal the penalties, which will be held off pending completion of the process. Eh, maybe a fine because he clearly threw at Martinez to brush him back off the plate, but that [expletive] happens in literally every MLB game once or twice.
