Ok we were talking about this at work today.

They thought I was wrong for doing it.

Do you guys just add hot water and let it sit for the noodles to soften?

I actually put the hot water in and put them in the microwave for a minute.

It gets the noodles much softer then just letting it sit.

cup of noodles are the best. everyone had them at my camp and we made it the old school way. just turned the sink on hot, filled up the cup, and let it sit for a long time to let it soften. and you have to mix it up every so often.

but if i had a microwave available id probably just use that

i <3 raman

do u guys add soy sauce or hot sauce at all

yeah. i do what you do. i get the bags and boil the noodles. add the flavoring and some hot sauce. then i add some left overs from dinner or something. like chicken and broccoli. pretty good but i think i'm gonna kill myself if i keep eating that. so unhealthy...

if im not feeling lazy, i will put some water on the stove, let it come to a boil, and put the noodles in, and let it sit for a while, but most times i just put a bowl of water in the microwave, and then after two or three minutes i take it out, and put the noodle in there and let it sit until its done.

That's what I do. Sometimes I just put boiled water in.

Haha, yep, same here.

Yep boil it in saucepan lol

Ramen is the bomb, but have you guys tried Indonesian version...? Usually called "Mi Goreng" (Mi = Noodle, Goreng = Fried)... you don't really have to fry it. Exactly the same style but this time, drain the water (no soup) and add seasoning. It's the best invention ever made :) It's also cheaper than Ramen... 1 Ramen bag = 3-4 Mi Goreng bags

Darn I'll just post the pic lol

Indomie is the company, it produces other versions as well, the chicken, satay, etc.

i bought some stuff similar to that when i was in singapore. it was like fancy ramen with this really good seasoning. i havent been able to find the same stuff in the US though.

snake, where do you buy it from? i need some to bring to college

I am from Indonesia but just turned Australian recently :) gonna miss my hometown foods :(

I think if you're in US you can easily get them from chinese convenience stores... or try to find specifically Indonesian convenience stores. There are some Indo stores here, so I can't see why not in US there's a larger number of Indonesians there than in Australia.

^Jakarta... man I miss the foods there, cheap too.

I don't know in US, but here in Australia you can find all kinds of noodles from Asia in supermarkets. Not as diverse as the ones in Chinese stores, but they're there.

I'm sure there is, it's pretty big business. Indons can't live without these noodles lol
