Phightins
Lol...if this were a Phillies fan, ESPN would have to run one of their "specials" tonight to remind everybody that we threw snow balls at Santa and booed Michael Irvin. But it's in Chicago, so it will just blow over. Just goes to show that there are idiots everywhere.

But it's in Chicago, so it will just blow over. Just goes to show that there are idiots everywhere. Please, just stop. Would ESPN make a bigger deal about if it was a Philadelphia Phillies fan pouring a beer on a Chicago Cubs player? Most definitely they would. HOWEVER, whether you like it or not, Philadelphia has developed a certain reputation, which is why negative things that Philadelpia fans do get made into a big deal. Is it fair? That's debatable, but it's obvious why people react the way they do when it is dealing with a Philadelphia fan. Also, the Philadelphia Phillies fan didn't disappoint. . You know why we have "earned" this reputation? Because of the idiots like you and the idiots at ESPN. This event just goes to show that there are morons everywhere. Now do me a favor and go watch a game from the bleachers at Wrigley, then compare it to anything you will see at a game in Philadelphia. I don't doubt that there are complete idiots at EVERY single stadium, but it has to be expected that if something bad happens involving a Philadelphia fan, it will get more attention, fair or not. Also, I don't blame the Philadelphia Phillies fan that retaliated at all because I would hope a Boston Red Sox fan would do the same thing if some moron poured beer on a Boston Red Sox player. Initially they arrested the wrong dude, then they figured that out and went back down there and nobody would fess up to doing it, so they made everybody leave (which makes no sense because on the video it was clear as day who threw it). Probably a good thing though...the bleacher bums are all total white trash so I am sure Wrigley was a better place with them all gone. Phightins
How do you know that? Because on our broadcast they zoomed in about 50 times and wouldn't shut up about it for an inning. When it's zoomed in all the way and in slow motion it is really easy to tell.
Guest N4S
Who cares about the Phillie fan going after the guy. I would do the same thing. And to me most of you pusssies probably wouldn't stick up for your players like that. I sure as hell would. Also to add, if I seen a Phillies fan do this to an opposing team's player I would be sure to make sure they are known that they are a complete @sshole. These Cubs fan were practically cheering them as they were escorted out. Edited August 13, 2009 by N4S

kingfish
All Cubs fans are the same. All Phillies fans are the same. All Laker fans are the same. All Cowboys fans are the same. All Eagles fans are the same. Therefore it is ok to hate the fanbase of any team, because all of their fans are the same.
