Phightins
LMAO Victorino is a giant [expletive] Hes filing a police report on the guy. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=Ap.dtTAt7eUMv6U5F90Z9_ERvLYF?slug=ap-phillies-victorinoapology&prov=ap&type=lgns I guess the Cubs are giant [expletive]s too then. They are filing a complaint as well. They probably want the guy found more than Vic does so that they can make sure he never steps into Wrigley again. fish7718
So if I went up to you and threw beer on you, you wouldn't do [expletive]? Good for you, but the rest of the population might be a little ticked off.I wouldn't file a police report on you LMAO. The guy was just trying to be nice and give victorino something to drink I think it was a nice gesture personally. I'd be happy if someone did that to me I like smelling like beer .Who cares about the Phillie fan going after the guy. I would do the same thing. And to me most of you pusssies probably wouldn't stick up for your players like that. I sure as hell would. Also to add, if I seen a Phillies fan do this to an opposing team's player I would be sure to make sure they are known that they are a complete @sshole. These Cubs fan were practically cheering them as they were escorted out.Oh thank god, despite all the security the Phillies also have you to protect them. I'm sure they feel 10x safer. Looks like we found the fan that ruins it for the bunch Edited August 13, 2009 by Fish7718
Guest N4S
It's not about protecting them. But it's cool your a NY fan. I know how you guys roll. http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/disrespect Edited August 13, 2009 by N4S
bigdog17k
Filing a Police report is a major dick move. By Victorino and the Cubs organization. How about we get a nice publicized sober apology to both parties from the assailant? Let me guess Victorino is going to want some money from the club too? Jesus, let it go man... Guest N4S
Na, he is just making sure the dude learns his lesson. I love it. It's not a $ thing. I'm sure he could piss that $ away easily. He might even donate it to charity if he gets $ out of it. But all in all I think he just wants to be an d ick to the guy.

I've always hated the Cubs, and their ways so I really don't care. But one less fan would be nice.

How about we get a nice publicized sober apology to both parties from the assailant? Let me guess Victorino is going to want some money from the club too? Jesus, let it go man... The main reason is because they want to find the guy (the Cubs in particular) to make sure that he never attends a game again. Remember, at first they arrested the wrong guy yesterday, and in the middle of that whole mixup the guy who actually did it got away. So he is "at large" right now. Vic does not want the guy to get in a lot of trouble or anything, but as he put it he "wants him to know that what he did was wrong". Something tells me that the Cubs or the city of Chicago pressured him into filing the complaint, because last night Shane was just laughing about it and saying he thought the dude's aim was impressive. Needless to say, you have no clue about the situation at all so stop talking out of your [expletive]. Guest N4S
Answer me this. How quick are douchbag fans to file police reports against Professional Athletes?

You answered your own question. Who has the greater responsibility? Who makes way less, and pays generously to attend games? Not to mention professional athletes should be role models. Phightins
Answer me this. How quick are douchbag fans to file police reports against Professional Athletes? Exactly. Does the fact that Shane Victorino is a professional athlete change that he is a human being, and an American citizen? He has the same rights as the douchebag golddigging fans who file complaints against athletes for doing way less than what this particular fan did. I think it was more on the behalf of the Cubs.

Not to mention professional athletes should be role models. You have absolutely no point, in either statement. They are both American citizens, who gives a [expletive] how much money they make? Shane is not in this for money either, I do not know where you came up with that one.
Guest N4S
You tell me. Who has the greater responsibility? Depends on how you look at it. Just because they make more doesn't mean they have a greater responsibility. Who has the greater responsibility? Pro Sports Players or US Soldiers? I would say 80% of cases against pro athletes are the public trying to get a quick dime out of someone who has more $.

I agree, but the way I was brought up you turn tha other cheek. I'd just man up. I'd def want an apology tho, but I don't wanna ruin it for a fan where they could never attend their favorite ballpark because he was drunk and made a stupid mistake.
