That's fallen apart somehow over the course of the last week, and now Sessions' camp is back to working on a sign-and-trade deal that would get Ramon to the Los Angeles Clippers. I'm not aware of their CAP situation, but Bill Simmons keeps bringing the idea up in his articles. If this move puts them out of the LeBron and other top FA race then I would hold back on this. Thing is, LeBron's PO for next year is over $17 million. He'd have to take exactly that from Los Angeles, give or take a million (can't remember if the cap was set at $56 million, or $58 million). Hes the only one that really needs to GTFO. Hes pretty quiet now compared to what he once was. The Clippers could probably do away with Marcus Camby or Chris Kaman too. DeAndre Jordan is more than capable to play the role of second string center. I honestly look for Marcus Camby and maybe Sebastian Telfair to be involved with the sign and trade deal to land Ramon Sessions. I really dread seeing the baggage that comes along with Ramon Sessions though. It all really depends on the contract Sessions is signed too, I'm not expecting it to be much. Sessions won't come to Los Angeles to back him up, not when he can get a starting job with a few other teams in the league (and probably more money, too). And I like Baron...but someone would have to play the sixth man role, and there's no way Davis does that (he's better than Ramon, anyways). And yeah, I'm not big on Ricky Davis, Chris Kaman, Marcus Camby, and I really don't like Al Thornton that much. Some teams would, though...and that's just it. The Clippers can really piece themselves together and get back into the playoff hunt by dishing some of those guys out. As I said in my first post, Camby's contract expires after this season. If the Clippers aren't hunting for 2010 free agents, they should dangle him out there, because it's $7-8 million to gain more room for guys like LeBron, Wade and Bosh. Beastley Posted August 28, 2009 Report Share Posted August 28, 2009 Sessions is a solid player now and will keep improving his game, but Baron Davis is there for three more years(?), so I'm not real sure if Sessions would want to come off the bench, when he could he could be a starter on another NBA team.
