Owner Real Deal Posted August 13, 2009 Owner Report Share Posted August 13, 2009 1) Chicago Bulls - Derrick Rose2) Miami Heat - OJ Mayo3) Minnesota Timberwolves - Brook Lopez If you were the Thunder, who would you pick at #4? Here's their 2007-08 roster (pre-draft): http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/SEA/2008.html
Flight
Part of me wants to say Love, because the Thunder have post issues still, but I think Westbrook is still the guy. He's proven he's going to be a stud in the league, and he's a good general. Beasley IMO would add another player stuck between the SF and PF, like Green (although I think Jeff should just be a SF, even though they play him at the 4), while still having Durant at SF too. Zolor23
I think they should get Westbrook, Watson isn't a starting pg quality and West should play SG
BlueDevil
I like Westbrook, but I chose Eric Gordon because he would allow Durrant to play SF, as he was a SG the season before. Beasley would be the same as Jeff Green, so there would be no need for him. Love would be interesting, but he would have to play centre, and I dont think he has it in him to be a centre. To me Gordon is another scorer for the team, and the next year(2009) they could draft a point guard. But i think Westbrook has done wonders for that team, and they are heading in the right direction. Owner Real Deal Posted August 14, 2009 Author Owner Report Share Posted August 14, 2009 I'm going to select Westbrook because the Thunder needed a point guard, and they may have an easier time acquiring a power forward more than a legit point, especially when guys like Bosh, Amare and Boozer will be free agents soon, and OKC will have a lot of money to offer due to rookie contracts still being in effect. Dash
I really want to say Beasley but Westbrook is tough to pass on especially considering he fills a need. Then again the 2009 draft had plenty of quality point guards (Evans, Flynn, Rubio).
Years
Russel Westbrook goes at the 4 he's just the best fit for Okc
