All-Intelligent 1st TeamPG: NashSG: Ray-RaySF: Shane BattierPF: Tim DuncanC: Emeka Okafor Second TeamPG: Jacque VaughnSG: KobeSF: Grant HillPF: Pau GasolC: Yao By the way Greatness, You do realize Kidd had to take the SAT like 50 times just because he failed all of them right? Not to mention, He's somewhat of a douche. Edited August 15, 2009 by ClutchCityOwns

Flight
PG - NashSG - KobeSF - BattierPF - DuncanC - Yao Second Team:PG - KiddSG - AllenSF - LeBronPF - GasolC - BogutI agree with that mostly, haven't seen Bogut play enough to know if he's smart or not haha. I'd say that Kyle Singler will prove to be one of the smartest guys in the 2011 draft class. Everything he does seems to be the right decision. He's athletic enough to get by, tall, but not overly strong, but he makes up for it with intelligence.
Revis Island
You do realize that this topic is exclusively about basketball smarts, right? Then I have no clue why you put Bogut on the 2nd team. You should have just put Shaq then or even Al Jefferson. and Chris Paul is smarter than Steve Nash is basketball wise.

Not really, CP3 goes for a lot of steals, and he ends up making careless defensive mistakes.
Revis Island
Not really, CP3 goes for a lot of steals, and he ends up making careless defensive mistakes.Which is why he said the reason why he gets steals is because he's smart enough to know what play the opponent is going to run. Chris Paul is every bit as smart as Nash, him playing defense and being smart at it is why he's smarter than Nash.

The list was made from my own personal observations. Bogut passes the eye test. Shaq is a good choice, but he doesn't capture the essence of 'intelligent' as well as Bogut. Probably because Shaq he's almost entirely about brawn and talent. Jefferson isn't there yet. He's in another realm of talent from Bogut; but his basketball smarts are still a bit suspect. Nash might have the highest basketball IQ in the NBA. Paul is a very cerebral player in his own right, but Nash is next level [expletive]. As far as drawing double teams and finding the open player, He is pretty smart at that. He's also pretty smart at positioning himself and willing to repost himself on the offensive end. He's still a little behind when it comes to understanding defenses. And I'm positive that his atrocious defense stems from a lack of fundamentals more than anything, in the same vein as Stoudemire. Diesel
Shaq is a good choice, but he doesn't capture the essence of 'intelligent' as well as Bogut. Racist. What does Bogut do on the basketball court to make him have a higher basketball IQ than Shaq? Shaq just appears as an idiot since he's always messing around on camera, but if you notice he is focused during the games. Here's my legit onesC- ShaqF- Tim DuncanF- Shane BattierG- Kobe BryantG- Jason Kidd 2nd teamC- Yao MingF- Luis ScolaF- Matt HarpringG- Brandon RoyG- Steve Nash
