La Bomba
The Grizzlies' eight-game preseason schedule tips off Oct. 6 with a neutral-site game against the Washington Wizards in the Siegel Center at Richmond, Va. The new-look Griz -- including trade acquisition Zach Randolph and rookies Hasheem Thabeet, DeMarre Carroll and Sam Young -- will make their home debut Oct. 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the first of four preseason contests in FedExForum. Memphis' other home exhibition games are the Orlando Magic (Oct. 12), Atlanta Hawks (Oct. 14) and Detroit Pistons (Oct. 17). The Griz will also play on the road at Dallas (Oct. 11), Miami (Oct. 21) and Charlotte (Oct. 23) before the regular-season opener Oct. 28 at home against Detroit. http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2009/aug/14/grizzlies-open-preseason-play-against-wizards/
